Our 2023 June Pride issue features Bea Colón drawing on the iconic imagery of King Arthur wielding Excalibur. They reserve the character’s integral pose while queering the image, reinterpreting the removal of the sword as an act of reclaiming identity. October is upon us, and with it SLUG's first-ever Local Music + Graphic Design Issue! For this special crossover edition of the mag, we featured the bands, venues, record shops, artist collectives, educators and more that make Utah a unique haven for musical subcultures. Then, we asked SLC's best graphic designers to create stunning article layouts that interpret those sonic stories in visual form 🎶💥 Local designer Shawn LeBoutillier (@thirteentones on Instagram) created an avant-garde, jazz-inspired cover with a touch of Halloween flair, teasing our corresponding article featuring Adam Michael Terry and FOUNTAIN Records 🎹🎷 Check it out online, and don't miss the print mag either: https://lnkd.in/gC7UEKiv
