Furthermore, clients seeking immigration often requires language assistance. With over 70,000 deportation cases annually in the U.S., there are a shortage of lawyers who are able to help. The amount of work required makes immigration work extremely costly to the clients and law firms themselves. Deportation defense can cost over $15,000. Despite this, many immigration lawyers still find themselves undercharging for the amount of work they do. This makes immigration inaccessible to many. Everyone deserves the chance to be heard. There is an opportunity to harness the power of technology to streamline the immigration process, making it more efficient, cost-effective, and accessible to all. Smart Attorney's mission is to streamline the legal immigration process for lawyers, so that that everyone, regardless of their result, has the chance to be heard and defended.
