Last week, we had the honor of being recognized as the Honor and Integrity Student Organization of the year! We are so grateful to Shawn Dommer, Michelle Darnell, and the rest of the Tarriff Center team for recognizing us!
During Honor Code Week we want to celebrate the Honor & Integrity Student Organization of the Year – Smeal Student Mentors. When asked how they embody Honor & Integrity at Smeal, they said “Smeal Student Mentors emphasizes Honor & Integrity in everything we do. Our mentors are responsible for managing their own submissions to earn points and report inaccuracies. Whether it be attendance or performance-based opportunities, our point distribution/submission methodology is backed by the honor system. We allow our mentors to operate independently with the expectation that they will respectfully uphold our organizational standards and Smeal values. We also diligently handle violations with the utmost urgency and diligence possible. Last but certainly not least, we perpetuate a culture of transparency, and we hold each other to the highest standard to ensure we are providing the best mentorship to the first-year students."
