Jamin Johnson, SVP of Operations at Snap Install, Inc. recently spoke during a panel at DSE on planning digital signage projects and how to avoid issues. "Everything starts with a clear vision and effective communication. There was strong consensus among the panel that it is critical to know what success looks like up front, and then there is ongoing transparency and alignment between the client, software and/or hardware provider, and installation company to achieve this goal. Scopes and timelines must be realistic. Real world pilot installations test design concepts and shake out any challenges. And then once the project transitions to the true implementation phase, deviations need to be identified, quickly communicated, and then managed in order to keep projects on track. Real partners share these common goals and are not just doing the work, but providing a perspective based on their experience that improves the outcome."
