  • We started in Dublin. We saw the Backyard Brawl. Penn State Whiteout. Georgia/Bama. Georgia/Texas. The #1 team in Madison. Rivalry Week. We've seen almost all that college football has to offer this season. Now we're taking over the College Football Playoff for the whole month. - All Four Home Games (University of Notre Dame | The Ohio State University | Penn State University | The University of Texas at Austin) - Peach Bowl (Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl) - Rose Bowl (Rose Bowl Stadium) - Cotton Bowl (Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic) - National Championship The entire journey will be documented on our YouTube and social channels. It is culminated with taking a subscriber to the National Championship. We're looking to blow this month up to finish off Snapback Saturdays.     The biggest moment in company history just happened but it may seem like nothing...let me explain On Thanksgiving eve I got sent a text. "Got the Athletic Department promo" If you're new to Snapback Sports, we are on a journey to find the best sports experience in the world. This football season, we're on a road trip called Snapback Saturdays, specifically looking for the best CFB experience. A couple weeks ago we went to Madison, Wisconsin to see the Badgers play #1 Oregon (they also stormed the court on Friday Night after beating #9 Arizona). We've spent the last year building up our YT channel as we think that platform is the future of media. It's been a grind, putting in quality work, hundreds of thousands of dollars, 10,000+ miles of travel for 36,000 subscribers. But as I wrote in the company slack on Friday night: We will remember Thanksgiving eve forever now. Company changing moment We knew what we were building was valuable for our fan base, the content was good but getting buy-in from an Athletic Department is the gold seal of approval that our content is also valuable to them. This confirms my belief that the ceiling for our content does not exist and that we're on the right track. #sportsmedia #sportsbusiness

    A Year After Deleting Our 600K YouTube Channel: Here’s What I’ve Learned Snapback Sports 1. Good content wins It does not matter how many subscribers you have, the upside on YT is endless. Even with 2,000 subscribers, we had a video hit 100K+ views 2. The YT Algorithm is really really good As I mentioned above, our channel was dead. Built off crappy shorts, any video we posted got about 400 views. Now our channel has a higher floor (around 10K views) but depending on how good the video is, the algorithm will serve it properly 3. YT Shorts can be good… We deleted our channel because we grew exclusively off shorts that were UNRELATED to our channel. Now our supporting YT shorts are cut outs from our hero (long-form) content.     7 years ago today, I started Snapback Sports at Texas/OU. This is my favorite annual post. Here’s what’s been accomplished in the last 365 days: 1. We got an office in New York City! Moved in with our buddies over at BDGE and have done some amazing in office content including Your Idiot Leaguemates 2. Grew our team to 12. I can’t believe we’re a 12 person team that all was born out of a Snapchat account. The reason I’m posting a pic from the Honeymoon is because while I was gone for 3 weeks, we didn’t skip a beat! All credit goes to the team. 3. Mrs. Snapback Sports. I got married and while unfortunately, I got a wedding ring before any of my favorite teams, we couldn’t do any of this without the love and support of HKS. 4. Snapback Saturdays. Another fall, another football series. This year we’re hitting 15 college football games all while searching for the best experience in College Football. 5. 28,000 YouTube Subscribers. 365 days ago, our channel had 0. While we definitely roll with the day to day, it’s nice to zoom out and realize how much our little channel has accomplished in a year. 6. A lot of that success is thanks to Brazil - 24 hours with Neymar (250K views) and NFL in Brazil (420K views). Happy to say we also showed what it was really like in Brazil instead of the horrible narrative that the media had painted. Excited to go back one day! 7. We met up with 1000+ fam members and gave away 10s of Thousands of Dollars including bringing Tanner to the World Series. We do this for the fam, we couldn’t do this without the fam and we love the fam. The fam is what makes Snapback Sports different from everyone else. Our connection with our audience is second to none. 8. Signed a 3 year deal with Underdog, helped them launch their sports book and worked with other amazing partners. SeatClub, Pikkit, NASCAR, PLL, Jameson, Wendys, Franks RedHot, Puma, Nike - Thank you so much for trusting us and supporting us. 9. My BMORE roots have been shining through. We Podded w/ OBJ, D. Henry and threw a tailgate for hundreds of Ravens fans. Did a hangout in the UK with Ravens fans. The team went to the AFC Chip and Lamar won his 2nd MVP. Punch Line has brought a lot of my roots and love for Baltimore back and I’m always appreciate of that. 10. We Launched trivia on Tik Tok and it has led to awesome growth on our tik tok and Instagram There’s so many other amazing accomplishments in the last 365 that I’m forgetting about which once again speaks to the incredible success of @snapbacksports_ Thank yous to everyone. The lovers and the haters. See y’all in 365 and OU still sucks My favorite quote: We overestimate what we can accomplish in a year but severely underestimate what we can accomplish in 10. 10 is coming up quick!
