As we close out another year, we express our deep gratitude for partnerships and dedication to supporting multilingual learners. Together, we’ve celebrated successes, faced challenges and made strides toward ensuring every child thrives in a culturally and linguistically affirming environment. Many have been with us since the start of our journey more than 15 years ago, and now we proudly celebrate 5 years as an independent nonprofit. For nearly two decades, bilingual education was banned in California, Back then, students like Angel struggled in a system that didn’t fully support his learning needs. Meanwhile SEAL was beginning to pilot a new approach to transforming education for English learners. Fast forward to today, and SEAL is proud to celebrate its milestone as an independent nonprofit. Over the years, we’ve grown our impact, reaching more than 50,000 students across California, ensuring students like Angel can access the rich, language-focused learning they deserve.
