The Society for Total Worker Health unites members with a shared passion: advancing worker health, safety and well-being
About us
The Society for Total Worker Health™, founded in 2022 as a 501(c)(3), unites members with a shared passion: advancing worker health, safety, and well-being. The issues facing today’s workers and workplaces require a new approach. We must bring together people from across disciplines to address complex challenges through shared learning and collective problem solving. The field of Total Worker Health® is growing, increasing the need for a place to convene people who want to help shape the future of Total Worker Health (TWH). Inspired by NIOSH more than a decade ago, the field of TWH is growing, increasing the potential to improve the well-being of more workers around the globe. This Society, independent from the constraints of its government roots, can boldly innovate, can offer promising strategies for advancing this new discipline, and can convene and inspire people who want to help shape the future of TWH. Mission & Vision To serve as a hub, a community, for sharing new and innovative ideas to expand Total Worker Health® research, training, education, dissemination, and real-world solutions. A place for professionals and students to engage across all disciplines. The Center for Health, Work & Environment serves as the fiscal and program partner for the Society, supported by a Center of Excellence for Total Worker Health® Cooperative Agreement U19OH011227, funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.
