2024 has been a year of growth, challenges, and reflection. I had the privilege of working alongside an incredible team at Spine and Pain Associates. They are on an exciting trajectory, and I’m confident they will continue to achieve great things. Adding another successful practice launch to my journey was truly rewarding. After stepping back for a bit, I’ve been able to enjoy invaluable quality time with my family, including the rare luxury of a worry-free vacation—the first in my career without thinking about payroll, accounts receivable, or HR challenges. Now, I’m ready to take on my next professional chapter. I bring extensive experience in M&A, de novo practice launches, managing established clinics and ASCs, working with private equity, and collaborating with large health systems. I kinda feel like we’ve been living inside an “AI Hackathon” the last 2 years. 😳 #tron It was so great catching up with my friends Gracie Francis at Alvarez Search and Naton Smith, Jr. at HCA Healthcare for the 2nd Annual Tennessee HIMSS Chapter AI Hackathon kick off event tonight. Using “emerging technologies” to improve the healthcare delivery experience for our highly valued nurses is what the teams are after. R.I.P. to a giant man that made a lasting impression on me. 💪 What I learned from "working out" with Sid Vicious 20 years ago: 1. Up the intensity!!! Even without the bright spotlight and the calls to the crowd, imagine the same excitement level when approaching the rack/machine/etc., or just giving high fives to strangers working out. 2. You can do more than you think you are capable of!!! ~Sets of 40 reps!~Wait, What?!?! We get on the leg press with several plates on each side and he proceeds to do a set of 40 while I watch in disbelief. He turns and grunts "Your turn, Cable" (Not sure he ever got my name right). I chuckle. He grunts and points to the seat. I got 20 and almost threw up. Re-read 1) above and you can imagine what is happening in my ear on reps 15-20 as I shake and try not to black out. He goes again. I "go get some water." He goes again. I now have to go again so we cut the weight way down and I crank out 40 reps. His high five knocks me down, but I don't care...... I just "worked out" with Sid Vicious!!! 💪 💪 💪 Rest In Peace big guy.
