Soil Centric is so lucky to have regenerative thought leader and author Judith D. Schwartz conversing with other nature-focused luminaries for our ongoing Q&A Series. This month she sits down with the one and only Brock Dolman to discuss restoration ecology and the Bring Back the Beaver Campaign. 🦫 https://lnkd.in/gpv99GbH #regeneration #ecosystemrestoration #climateaction

What an uplifting journey we've had with the 2024 Regenerative Action Ambassadors! These emerging leaders brought their best selves to every meeting, engaging supportively with one another and offering help and perspective. They received one-on-one coaching from author and regen goddess Judith D. Schwartz. Our world-class speakers shared their challenges and successes, giving us all a deeper understanding of how to regenerate our landscapes, climate, and communities with integrity. Thank you to Byron Shelton, Brittany "Cole" Bush, Neal Spackman, Alexandra Groome Klement, Anthony Myint, and Reginaldo Haslett-Marroquin. Special thanks to our talented coordinator, Kyle Lawson. Apply for 2025 here: raa.soilcentric.org, or pay it forward by sponsoring a future Ambassador: https://lnkd.in/gujgAAty #regenerativeagriculture #ecosystemrestoration #climateaction #leadershipdevelopment #hopeinaction

We highly recommend the FARMpreneurs™ program! Apply by the 28th of October!
Are you a farmer with a big goal? But don't know precisely how to achieve it? We are looking for you. And we invite you to apply for our upcoming FARMpreneurs™ sprints. Applications end October 28th. We are hosting two strategic sprints designed for climate-smart farmers to give them the tools, resources, and connections they need to become change-makers in their local food systems. A strategic Sprint is a condensed, accelerated period of time that organizations use to set goals, identify challenges, clarify values, and create direction for their teams. And we tailored it to meet the needs of motivated farmers and ranchers. Upcoming Dates ⬇️ January 5-10 Bishop's Ranch 📍Sonoma County, California January 19-25 Carnation Farms 📍Redmond, Washington Farmers, please apply even if you don’t live in these states. We are accepting farmers nationwide. We plan to expand our program to Tennessee, New York, Arizona, Central / Southern California, and the Midwest in the future. This is not a program teaching you how to farm better. This is an immersive, in-person gathering where farmers are supported and guided by business experts in creating an actionable strategic playbook for achieving their “Big Hairy Audacious Goals.” Farmers are very busy people, we know. That’s why we condensed decades of social entrepreneurship education and operational experience into 7-days. This week will be profoundly transformative, and we hope to see you there. #regenerativeagriculture #farming #agriculture #climate #food

This is a fantastic opportunity for farmers with big goals to implement climate solutions and could use some support!
We are looking for climate-smart farmers with big goals. Do you know any farmers with goals of transforming their local food systems? We built this program specifically with them in mind. We've met so many farmers with big ambitions but lacking the know-how. Most farmers today didn't attend business school and lack the tools, resources, or connections to apply social entrepreneurial principles to their farms. That's why we started FARMpreneurs™. Please tag farmers below and share this post to your feed to spread the word. These are a week-long, in-person strategic sprints* for climate-smart farmers to bring their BHAG’s (Big Hairy Audacious Goals) into a space filled with peer encouragement and the support of mentorship from business experts. We know farmers' schedules are busy from sunrise to sunset all season. That’s why we condensed decades of social entrepreneurship education and food system transformation into just 7-days. This week will be profoundly transformative for all farmers who attend. And this program is free for attending farmers, thanks to generous partners of the Ideagarden Institute. Our goal for this week and beyond is to provide farmers with actionable business tools, resources, and connections we have so they can take their farms to the next level and transform their local food systems. If you have big goals to positively impact your local food system and practice climate-smart agriculture on your farm, we invite you to apply. Apply as a farmer ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/g5TxWySJ Upcoming Strategic Sprints - January 5–10 | Bishop's Ranch in Sonoma County, California - January 19–25 | Carnation Farms in Redmond, Washington State *Strategic Sprints are condensed, accelerated periods where businesses review their goals, identify challenges, clarify values, and create direction for their teams. #soilhealth #sustainableagriculture #farming #agriculture #organicfarming #regenerativeagriculture #farm #food #cpg #climatechange #climate

Is it really #climateaction to meet growing energy demands if we degrade functioning ecosystems, contribute to further biodiversity loss, disrupt the small water cycle, make temperatures hotter, and harm rural communities? An opinion piece for Mongabay by our brilliant colleague Judith D. Schwartz (Sorry #Joshuatrees but the Los Angeles Times reports they're coming for you next).
