Today, our LoNi participants are rolling up their sleeves and tackling the Next Rules. It starts with clarity: What roles are we playing? What’s anchoring us, keeping us from moving forward? What could rocket us into action? Then comes the tough part—breaking down the unspoken rules holding us back and rewriting the rules that will drive innovation. This is how transformation begins: by questioning everything, identifying barriers, and creating the conditions for progress. Take a moment to think about the Next Rules you would think of and implement in your organization. ARCWERX Air National Guard

  • It’s Day Three of the Leaders of Next Intensive, and today, we’re tackling one of the biggest barriers to innovation: Funding. When faced with high uncertainty, traditional budgeting becomes a guessing game. Fixed allocations and rigid forecasts might work for performance systems, but they fail to address the dynamic, ever-changing nature of innovation. Today, we kicked off Day Two of the Leaders of Next Intensive with a deep dive into Next Portfolios, led by Greg. The concept is simple but powerful: not all innovation opportunities are equal. By categorizing efforts into Renew, Grow, Optimize, and Maximize, Leaders of Next can identify why, and how to allocate resources and energy. • Renew: Explore bold, game-changing ideas. • Grow: Expand reach with new products, services, or partnerships. • Optimize: Improve what’s working to increase margins. • Maximize: Extract value from what’s nearing its end. This portfolio-based approach helps organizations balance the need for bold, future-focused innovation with the operational demands of the present. Key takeaway: Innovation isn’t just about moonshots—it’s about understanding where to focus your energy and resources across every stage of value creation. #LeadersOfNext #NextPortfolios #InnovationLeadership #StrategicInnovation #MakeNextHappen ARCWERX

  • Innovation isn’t failing because of a lack of ideas—it’s failing because we’re trying to run it through systems designed for something else. Performance Systems are excellent at driving efficiency, predictability, and ROI. However, when those same metrics, roles, and processes are applied to innovation, the result is often frustration and failure. To build what’s next, organizations need a parallel Innovation System that thrives on exploration, risk-taking, and learning. This system embraces discovery and uncertainty while your Performance System ensures daily operations run smoothly. You don’t have to choose between them—you need both to thrive.

  • The clock is ticking. 72% of CEOs are uncertain about the future relevance of their products or services within just three years. This isn’t a minor concern—it’s a wake-up call for businesses to act now. The question isn’t whether innovation is necessary; it’s how to make it a sustainable, disciplined part of your organization’s DNA. Stay tuned for insights from San Juan on how we’re bridging the gap between today’s operations and tomorrow’s opportunities. #LeadersOfNext #InnovationLeadership #StrategicInnovation #MakeNextHappen #IntelligentInnovation #NextSystem Nikolai Gregory Galle Daniel Buritica MONICA BARON Cristina Constain

  • Before you throw time and money at your next big project, ask yourself: Have we tested it enough to know it will work? A small investment in testing or validation upfront can save you from huge mistakes later. Whether it’s a quick prototype or a simple test, early feedback can uncover problems before they become costly disasters. Smart growth isn’t about chasing every idea. It’s about proving the right ones before you go all in. So, are you testing your ideas—or just hoping for the best? #SolveNext #MakeNextHappen #Podcast #OrganizationalStrategy #ResourceManagement #NextSystem #Innovation #Leadership #DecisionMaking #LessonsLearned
