After discovering his love for automotive mechanics, Alejandro Reyes, a Junior Apprentice Technician at Town and Country Toyota, enrolled in the maximum course load offered within the automotive tech program at Providence High School (PHS) in Charlotte, North Carolina. Alejandro’s passion soon unlocked a promising future when Chad Rorie, an automotive teacher at PHS, approached him with an opportunity to take a paid apprenticeship at Town and Country Toyota in Charlotte, North Carolina. Every summer, we hold a company-wide service activity to give back to our local communities. This year’s theme was PAWsitive Community Impact. Our teammates across the country had the opportunity to give back to their local animal shelters and rescues by assembling pet adoption bags for new pet owners. In partnership with Cheeriodicals | Team Building That Matters, teammates assembled “Gotcha Day” bags, including pet essentials like leashes, water and food bowls, treats, toys, blankets, and more! In addition to assembling the bags at their local dealerships and corporate office locations, teammates dropped off the donations at their local animal shelters and rescues to witness their impact firsthand. At Sonic Automotive, one of our core values is to Be Generous, and we’re thankful for the opportunity to serve our communities and help pets in need find their FURever homes!
