We’re beyond thrilled to share that Sonoro has been nominated for four Ambies awards, including the prestigious Podcast of the Year nomination for Faraway! This recognition means the world to us, not just because it celebrates our work, but because it reinforces the power of audio storytelling to transport, inspire, and connect us. Each of these nominations represents countless hours of creativity, collaboration, and dedication from our incredible team of writers, producers, sound designers, and actors. With Faraway, led by Xochitl Gomez and Melonie Diaz, earning nods for both Podcast of the Year and Best Scriptwriting (Fiction), it’s a testament to the kind of boundary-pushing narratives we love to create—stories that bend time, stretch imagination, and leave listeners questioning reality. Daniel Alvarenga's HUMO: Murder and Silence In El Salvador, a deeply immersive and beautifully crafted story, has been nominated for Best Spanish Language Narrative Podcast—a recognition that underscores the growing impact of Spanish-language storytelling in the podcasting world. Bringing rich, multilayered narratives to global audiences is core to our mission, and we’re proud to see HUMO receive this well-earned recognition. And then there’s NOCTURNO, narrated by Danny Trejo, a show that doesn’t just tell a story—it feels like one. Its chilling, atmospheric soundscape has earned it a nomination for Best Production and Sound Design, proving that audio isn’t just something you hear—it’s something you experience. Every sound cue, whisper, and echo is meticulously crafted to pull listeners deeper into its eerie world, making this honor all the more meaningful. The Ambies are a celebration of the best in podcasting, and we’re honored to stand among so many incredible creators pushing the medium forward. Stream Faraway, HUMO and Nocturno wherever you get your podcasts 💜

The Set Up, our latest rom-com podcast starring Harvey Guillén and Christian Navarro, was covered this morning by The Hollywood Reporter just in time for Valentine's Day. In an interview with THR, Guillén said The Set Up grabbed him because of the script, penned by I.V. Marie and Phillippe Bowgen — “the characters, the twists, the turns!” — but the most intriguing question of them all was, of course: How do you bring it all to life through just a voice? “Sometimes you do voiceover and it’s [just] you, the engineer and the director,” Guillén says. But Guillén and Navarro recorded The Set Up as if it was an on-camera show, meaning the pair was in the room together for their shared scenes. “This was fun because everyone was watching live as this happened, and everyone had input as it was being created.” Listen to the first episode now: https://lnkd.in/gthzQW2Z

Podcasts offer something special—intimacy, trust, and authenticity. Hosts become trusted friends, making their recommendations resonate, especially with US Hispanic audiences who spend 37% more on beauty annually than others. “In podcasting, what you have in this era where people are so bombarded by information, bombarded by data, bombarded by messages from brands [is] the idea that someone is helping drive and unfold a story in an organic way,” says Sonoro’s CEO, Joshua Weinstein. “I think consumers want that, young and old.” At Sonoro, brands like Estée Lauder and Cover Girl have tapped into this power to connect deeply through storytelling. Discover how podcasting is transforming beauty advertising, and why it’s the medium of choice for forward-thinking marketers.

Multicultural marketing should be the new normal. By 2060, 1 in 4 Americans will likely be Latino, according to U.S. Census projections. Since the peak of the Covid pandemic, Latinos have accounted for 90% of the United States’ population growth. This isn’t just a cultural shift— it’s a game-changer for how we do business. Today’s average consumer is becoming more diverse than many realize, and decision-makers must adapt to this entirely new, highly multicultural reality to win. https://lnkd.in/gxsJEkC7
