Yesterday, Sound Transit’s Blacks Empowering Success in Transit Employee Resource Group (BEST) raised the Pan-African flag in honor of Black History Month—a powerful emblem of resilience, unity, and self-determination. As it soared, so did our collective commitment to truth, justice, and the legacy of those who paved the way. Black history isn’t just about remembering the past—it’s about shaping the future. The day's events also featured the singing of the Black National Anthem, “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” in front of Union Station, immediately followed by employees gathering in the Ruth Fisher Boardroom to hear about Black activism in transit with Elmer Dixon. Thank you to everyone who stood in solidarity. ♥️🖤💚 A video of the flag raising can be found here: https://lnkd.in/gACaUzSz
