Well, the results are in! Since working with Spacebox Digital to launch their storefront with Pack + Shopify Hydrogen, UMZU has already seen awesome growth. - 38% increase in new customers - 10% increase in repeat customers - 62% overall growth since launch - 6% increase in AOV - $3k/m saved on unneeded 3rd party Shopify apps I think the moral of the story here is that fast, beautiful, and easy-to-use sites help brands to not only grow their customer base – but also retain those customers. Metrics like this make it that much easier to feel confident increasing ad spend to drive more traffic because you know you have solid ROAS, and that your site's ease of use for your customers increases LTV. PS: It doesn't hurt that your non-technical staff can update and edit the site in a snap. Try doing that with your Contentful/Sanity build.

Lots of debate around the size of development teams when building a custom storefront. The truth is that it’s not a one-size-fits-all. Proud to announce the launch of Spacebox Digital! Startup Story Time™️ : I was doing a considerable amount of freelance work in 22/23, and had the opportunity to work closely with UMZU on their big redesign efforts. (shoutout to Darren Crawford, Robert Walker, and Christopher W.) We looked at a lot of options on the market, but for the considerable needs they had in terms of marketing agility, there wasn't a lot out there. Then we found Pack. (shoutout Cory Cummings, Corey Hivner, Andrew Pizula, Andrew Nguyen) After carefully evaluating, we went with them for the redesign. In 4 months, as a solo developer, I was able to build UMZU a custom headless storefront that allowed their organization to scale marketing however they wanted with a reusable and easily extendable frontend. It was magic. Pure magic. So much so that after the launch, I decided I wanted to start a business around their platform. As far as I could tell, there was no other solution on-market that provided the turnkey service for brands going headless, and no other team out there that cared as much about the success of brands attached to them. Spacebox Digital is now (as far as I'm aware) the first Pack-first development studio in the eCommerce space. And we're stoked to be. We'll be doing other bespoke full-stack work outside of eCom as well... But if a brand approaches us for headless work; we already have the solution. And that's pretty rad.
