Susan Meyer’s incredible 19-year tenure as she prepares for retirement. #ThankYouSusan #STALegacy #TransitChampion Under Susan’s leadership, STA achieved transformative milestones: implementing the STA Moving Forward plan, launching City Line (the region’s first Bus Rapid Transit service), electrifying 25% of the Fixed Route fleet, and more. The night was filled with heartfelt stories and tributes. From mentorship to meaningful personal connections, her impact was undeniable. “Susan exemplifies what outstanding leadership looks like,” said STA Board Member and Airway Heights City Council Member Hank Bynaker. “It’s been a privilege and honor to serve with her.” "I’ve been amazed by the things Susan has said and done. #TransitChampions honored by the STA Board of Directors with unanimous approval of resolutions recognizing their outstanding leadership. On Thursday, November 21, at the STA Board of Directors monthly meeting, the board unanimously voted to approve resolutions honoring retiring US Representative (WA-05) Cathy McMorris Rodgers and Washington State Senator Andy Billig (3rd Legislative District-Spokane) for their work and commitment to advancing public transit in Eastern Washington. Please join us in recognizing Congresswoman McMorris Rodgers and Senator Billig for their dedication and service!

Spokane Transit CEO E. Susan Meyer was honored with two career achievement awards at today's STA Board Meeting. Mike Gribner P.E., Deputy Secretary of Transportation at the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), presented the WSDOT Achievement Award in recognition of her dedication to creating access and mobility for the people of Washington State. Justin Leighton, Executive Director of the Washington State Transit Association (WSTA), presented the WSTA Transit Legacy Award, recognizing Susan as the longest-serving WSTA Board member. Congratulations, Susan! This recognition is truly well-deserved.
