Everyone has rules, but not everyone has standards. ✨ Last week, my team and I had the privilege of attending our Spring Forward Principal’s Retreat. It was an opportunity to recharge, refocus, and refine our approach to leadership. We walked away feeling refreshed, empowered, and re-trained, ready to bring our best to the students and families we serve. I’m especially thankful for the chance to share the best practices my team has implemented, celebrating their successes while also taking time for self-reflection. It was a powerful moment to ensure that my actions align with my intentions and to continuously strive for growth. One of the highlights for me was having Ashley Chandler by my side at the conference. Just two years ago, I joined her school as the Principal when she was the Office Administrator. Watching her grow into her new role has been a true joy—her learning, growth, and success are inspiring, and I can’t wait to see all the possibilities for her future. We wrapped up the retreat by choosing one word that would define the culture in our school moving forward. My word? REWARDING. When we prioritize compliance, integrity, purposeful service, lead by example, focus on training to retain, and hold ourselves accountable to our expectations - inspecting what we expect, we’ll create a school culture that is rewarding for everyone—students, staff, and families alike. That’s my goal for today, for 2025, and beyond!

This week, as we reflect on what we’re thankful for, I’m thrilled to highlight Merryhill Roseville in Roseville, California. Since its founding in 2013, this campus has been a place where students from 3 years old through 6th grade grow into confident, curious, and capable learners.
