We're kicking off January with a whole lot of caring in our community! 🥰 Check out how we started the new year! 🎉 💼 Our Community Outreach team partnered with Molina Healthcare, the Illinois Small Business Development Center, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity to sponsor a Small Business Health Fair at Union Baptist Church. Attendees received free health exams, flu shots and blood pressure and blood glucose screenings. 🌟 Proudly sponsored the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Breakfast alongside the Frontiers International Springfield Club. Our staff were honored to celebrate Dr. King’s legacy at this meaningful event! 💌 Celebrated our incredible Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for their dedication and expertise in providing safe, high-quality anesthesia care for our patients. 🩹 Our Community Outreach Clinical Team partnered with Molina Healthcare’s Mobile Unit to provide flu shots for seniors at the Oasis Senior Center, ensuring they stay protected this season. 💙 After more than 25 years in health care, Dr. David Gelber has retired from Springfield Clinic’s Neurology Department. Beloved by his patients and respected by his colleagues, Dr. Gelber’s dedication to compassionate care will be truly missed! 🎂 Valerie Vincent, Whitney Murphy, and Amy Weidhuner celebrated their recognition as SC Celebrates Q4 Winners! ✨ Proudly attended the Springfield Chamber Annual Gala, filling three tables with providers, administrators and staff! The new space offers improved access for patients. 💫 Springfield Clinic's Community Outreach Clinical Team partnered with the Molina Healthcare Mobile Unit to provide services to the kids at the Peoria Dream Center. This was the first time our outreach team has been to Peoria! We’re excited to see our outreach services grow in our communities. 🥳 After more than 20 years of dedicated service in medical imaging at SMH, Dr. Sherrick retired. His impact on patient care, imaging innovations and mentoring residents will leave a lasting legacy. Congratulations, Dr. Sherrick! 🏃♂️ Radiology team member Nashlynn Gowdy completed the Memphis St. Jude Marathon, an incredible feat for a worthy cause. Great job, Nashlynn! 🏥 Our Community Outreach Clinical Team partnered with Molina Healthcare’s Mobile Unit to provide essential services to the community at the Washington Street Mission. 🎉 Dr. Huang performed his 50th Inspire surgery, helping sleep apnea patients find relief. 🧁 Dr. Kwedar celebrated his last operative day in the OR, complete with handmade cupcakes crafted by one of our amazing OR nurses. 💡 In Las Vegas, Trina Fry and Bridget Brackett represented Springfield Clinic at the 2024 Achieving Accreditation Program for AAAHC. They connected with peers and expert faculty to advance strategies in Quality Management and Improvement. ☕ Our Community Outreach Clinical Team joined Molina Healthcare and Ward 5 Alderwoman Lakeisha Purchase to provide health screenings, flu shots and holiday cheer at Near North Village and Sangamon Towers. Hot chocolate, cookies and stockings made it extra festive! ☃ Our Community Outreach Clinical Team also visited Oasis Senior Center to provide services and spread holiday cheer to seniors. 🎄 Throughout the month, our employees spread holiday joy by dressing up, capturing festive moments and joining in on activities that brought the season to life.
