  • How did a simple device-tracking feature evolve into the sophisticated Mission Control Tracking tool we know today? It all began with a fundamental question from our partners: How can we better manage our people across a large worksite? Our original Tracking page gave Springshot users a bird’s-eye view of where smartphones were located. But as our customers began to envision the possibilities, a transformative idea emerged: what if these location pins represented not just devices, but the people using them? By linking these pins to real-life team members, we could unlock an entirely new level of operational collaboration and coordination. This was the moment our current approach to geospatial collaboration was born – a pivotal shift that turned tracking from a device-centric tool into a dynamic, people-first solution. The close alignment between our Customer Success team and global user community made this evolution possible. Working hand-in-hand with frontline crews, we fostered a feedback loop that shaped Tracking into the robust tool it is today. Together, we’ve built a solution that both supports our users’ needs today and evolves to meet their needs of tomorrow, one enhancement at a time. #LiftOffWithSpringshot

  • DID YOU KNOW…our Mission Control Tracking page was launched in 2011 as a tool to track smartphones!? Yes, Tracking was deployed initially to help teams keep tabs on their devices. It had nothing to do with people, vehicles, task management or anything else for which it’s used today. Instead, it was part of our effort to help teams move away from the paper processes that wasted their time and energy. At that time, aviation operations still relied heavily on manual systems that were error-prone, time-consuming and unfriendly. By digitizing these processes, we sought to empower crews to streamline communication and adapt to the dynamic demands of airport operations. This shift not only saved time and resources but also set the stage for data-driven decision-making, creating a more agile and connected workforce prepared to meet today’s operational challenges. Helping crews track their devices was an essential first step in digitizing the workforce. It laid the groundwork for greater visibility and control. But there was more we could do and our partners’ needs were evolving. Tracking v1.0 paved the way for the development of a more robust interface, one that would transform isolated data points into a comprehensive, real-time view of entire operations. #LiftOffWithSpringshot

From there, our users can quickly identify issues that require immediate action, from allocating resources, communicating with colleagues and resolving operational alerts. Beyond the many features it currently supports, what truly sets this page apart is the journey we’ve taken to build it. Over the past decade, as IoT, BLE Sensors, autonomy and other complementary technologies evolved, so did we. This evolution reflects the spirit of collaboration we share with our partners, as we’ve worked together to refine and reimagine the tool, ensuring it always remains an innovative, adaptable and forward-looking solution. Last year, we doubled down on Tracking to further unify it with the aesthetic we deployed recently within the broader Springshot Mission Control suite. From enhancing its data hierarchy to transforming its visual design, we crafted every detail to meet the demands of today’s crews. We’re excited to share the story of Tracking – its key features, the journey behind its evolution and our vision for its future – to showcase how we’re always looking to elevate our partners’ operations. Using real-time visibility and precise coordination, we ensured every request was met quickly and efficiently, getting fans to their seats and keeping operations running like a well-oiled machine. His passion for aviation and technology and his people-first mentality will make him invaluable to our partners and our team! 🟠 "I joined Springshot from Delta Air Lines, where I began my journey in 2018 as a Ready Reserve Ramp Agent at ATL. Over the years, I transitioned into increasingly strategic roles, with my most recent position being a Product Manager on the Experience Design & Technology team in Reservations, automating back-office processes to streamline operations and enhance efficiency." 🟠 "I live in Douglasville, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. Having spent most of my life in the South, I sincerely appreciate the diversity and character of Metro Atlanta, where each area offers its unique vibe and endless opportunities for exploration." 🟠 "My first introduction to the Springshot was as a Baggage Transfer Driver using the Sherpa application. I was immediately impressed by how the technology enhanced my ability to perform my job.
