Remembering Bob Sopko It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our dear friend and colleague, Bob Sopko. Though our time with Bob was far too short, the impact he made on SPROCKIT, our startups, and all who had the privilege of knowing him was truly profound. As Director of CWRU LaunchNet at Case Western Reserve University, Bob was more than just a supporter of innovation—he was a champion of entrepreneurs, a trusted advisor, and a true friend. His wisdom, kindness, and infectious enthusiasm lifted up so many in the innovation and academic communities, and his belief in the power of innovation and collaboration was unwavering. Bob’s legacy lives on in the countless startups and individuals he inspired. While we deeply mourn his loss, we are forever grateful for the time we had with him and the lasting imprint he leaves behind. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known him. Rest in peace, Bob. You made a difference, and we will never forget you.
