Join the Selebi Phikwe Senior School Alumni as we embark on a fundraising project to build a classroom of the future.

About us

The Selebi Phikwe Senior School Alumni Association was first established in 2004 with a goal to give back to SPSS, and the town of Selebi Phikwe at large, by making significant contributions geared to develop and empower the school and its students. Since inception, we've achieved this through sponsoring our alma mater's annual prize-giving ceremonies, awarding well-performing students with laptops, and hosting career guidance events. This serves as a testament to the fact that while several of us have since left Phikwe, the spirit of the town and its close-knit community and values still live in all of us. Driven by the desire to create an even bigger impact, we've decided to embark on a journey to build a Classroom of the Future as a way to commemorate the school's 50th anniversary. This Classroom of the Future will disrupt the usual model of learning, and will be a learning environment equipped with tools and technologies such as generative AI, Virtual Reality, and adaptive learning platforms. This student-centred approach to learning will be designed to empower future generations of SPSS students with the digital skills needed to succeed in the ever-evolving digital and job landscapes. To ensure our dream materialises, we're embarking on a nation-wide fundraising campaign, the proceeds of which will then be presented to SPSS during its 50th anniversary celebrations in February 2025. We plan to raise P2.5 million to ensure our project is a success. To pledge, kindly reach out to us at spssalumni50@gmail.com, or on +267 72 186 495. Your donation, no matter the amount, will go a long way in helping us achieve this.
