Tragic stories of abuse often go unseen and unheard, leaving victims to suffer in silence. Visible signs like bruises can serve as cries for help – if only we observe and offer the right support to encourage them to speak out. This powerful print campaign, inspired by Isuru Aberathne and crafted by Tehani Walpola for the Janashakthi Group (JXG) and Janashakthi Foundation, acts as an eye opener to everyone on ‘Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women'. Shoutout to our Mangoes and Popkorn Kernels: Andrew Ebell, Sagar Hiranand, Lihini Welagedara, Stuart Deckker and Wasih for bringing this idea to life. A special shoutout to Gamika De Silva, Sashi Schaffter and Vinuri Perera at JXG for their unwavering belief in the idea, doing what every agency hopes for (zero changes) and executing this in such a quick time.
