New year, new term—same amazing Chair! Senior Architect Deirdre "Dee" Leclair, AIA, NCARB, who works in one of our Atlanta offices, has been reappointed as Chair of The American Institute of Architects (AIA) National Codes and Standards Committee for another two years, starting January 1, 2025. This prestigious honor highlights how our employees extend SSOE’s mission and vision beyond our projects, positively impacting our communities and industry as a whole. Serving as Chair since 2022, Dee’s leadership has influenced numerous codes, amendments, and legislative bills, providing a national voice for the excellent work being done in Georgia. In 2023, Dee earned the Bronze Medal Award from AIA Georgia for her career-long commitment to improving and helping designers navigate the state’s fire and building codes—first inside the Department of Community Affairs and now in private practice. #SSOEcares #SSOEsoutheast

Posada perfection! Earlier this month, our Mexico offices hosted a special Posada celebration, bringing together employees from our León and Chihuahua offices with esteemed leadership, including CEO Vince DiPofi, PE, as a festive afterparty to our Mexico town hall. The evening was filled with fiesta—dinner, dancing, and traditional festivities. A unique highlight of the night was the recognition of four extraordinary employees with SSOE’s highest honors: our Founder’s and Leadership Awards. The event concluded with an exciting raffle and a variety of games, ensuring everyone went home with a party favor. #SSOEmexico #chooseSSOE

Compassionate care meets innovative design. We were honored to participate in ProMedica's open house for their Behavioral Health Outpatient Pavilion project yesterday, alongside our design / build partner Roncelli, Inc. Designed to serve the most complex and vulnerable pediatric patients, the new 14,500 SF standalone facility complements the recently completed Psychiatry Unit Renovation at the ProMedica Russell J. Ebeid Children’s Hospital, also designed by the SSOE team. SSOE’s Master Architect Robert Siebenaller, who is quoted in our release, joined the ceremony to celebrate the advancement and unveiling of the project with Project Architect Yolanda Leveridge—both integral members of the project delivery team. #PressRelease

It’s the most wonderful time of the year... the annual Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Jollification event, of course! This luncheon is a fantastic opportunity to network, collaborate, and grow with the incredible women from corporate Ohio where SSOE has three offices. We were proud to have a few of our Women’s Employee Resource Group members in attendance, as featured in this fun 360° video. SWAN, which stands for SSOE Women and Allies Network, was established last year. Similar to the Lima Chamber’s Women in Business event, this voluntary, employee-led group empowers women through comprehensive programs. SWAN fosters a community that addresses the unique challenges faced by women in our industry and equips them with the tools needed for personal and professional development. #chooseSSOE
