Before becoming an independent contractor agent for State Farm, EJ Silvers earned a degree in education and worked at the University of Washington. When the position didn’t align with his career aspirations, he reached out to his father, a State Farm agent, to explore a new opportunity. "My brother and I decided to become State Farm agents at the same time. How can data centers be more efficient in the future? As part of State Farm's initiative to advance environmental, social, governance (ESG) goals, we’re researching new technologies that help to reduce energy consumption and waste from large data centers. Net Zero Data Centers are one technology that may have viability. These help reduce grid-tied energy consumption by utilizing onsite renewable energy, eliminate water usage for cooling, and reduce pollution due to waste efficiency regeneration and perpetual resource use. All of this adds up to a sizeable reduction in overall emissions. Weston Johnson is the sixth State Farm independent contractor agent in his family. "While my wife and I may share the same brand as State Farm agents, we bring our individual styles and strategies to our businesses – there's truly no one right way to do it. "Having someone to talk to who understands what it's like to be a part of both worlds is such a blessing." Rick, an estimatics appraiser, is celebrating his fifth anniversary this month. The combination of these technologies along with AI and its ability to digest and provide insights on large quantities of data with a focus on assessing risks to prevent loss, is called spatial finance. This concept is a valuable tool that may help to understand patterns and risks and create strategies to prepare for and prevent damage in states of potential impact down to areas, neighborhoods, and houses. After graduating college and working as a paralegal at a law firm while selling boats part-time, Jeff Thummel explored various opportunities of business ownership. With 28 years of experience in the insurance industry, State Farm independent contractor agent Christina Beahn has dedicated her career to helping secure financial futures and protect loved ones. Christina's mission to assist State Farm customers with understanding their needs fuels her passion to help ensure families are protected with life insurance. "This mission is close to my heart, as I faced the heartbreaking loss of my son to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) when he was just seven months old. This personal tragedy strengthens my commitment to helping others prepare for the unexpected.” In overcoming this tragedy, Christina expresses her pride and admiration of her family. "I began my journey in 1996 as an accounting clerk and transitioned into various roles, including auto underwriting service and claims.
