    Co-Founder & COO at SteadyMD

I wanted to take a moment to recognize and thank Josh Emdur, DO, for his many contributions to SteadyMD. Josh has been a cornerstone of our success, and his dedication and passion deserve special recognition. Since joining us in 2017, when SteadyMD was just getting started, Josh has been instrumental in shaping our vision. From helping build the first-of-its-kind online primary care practice for runners - partnering with amazing folks like Dr. Mark Cucuzzella, Marathon Training Academy, running coach Adam St.Pierre, and top American runner Neely Gracey - his expertise and enthusiasm have stood out from day one. Together, we scaled our practices across all 50 states, navigated the challenges and opportunities of COVID, signed and executed on deals with some of the largest organizations in the world, and much more. As SteadyMD has grown into the telehealth infrastructure company it is today, Josh has proven himself as a resilient leader, partner, and advocate for innovation and excellence. His contributions have left a lasting mark on our team and the patients we serve. Josh, on behalf of myself and everyone here, thank you for your extraordinary leadership, clinical work, and dedication. You are truly one of a kind, and it’s been a pleasure to work with you. We look forward to seeing what's next.

  • At SteadyMD, we like to be transparent in everything we do. That’s why we want to report an elaborate phishing scam that targeted our clinician interview process. Our goal is to alert other digital health companies about this scam and prevent clinicians from being coaxed into dishonest discussions. We’ve learned that an entity has fraudulently been emailing clinicians, posing as members of our hiring team, and offering them jobs at SteadyMD. All these interviews have started via email using the domain joinsteadymd.team; we only use email addresses with the steadymd.com address.  Applicants were required to sign up for Microsoft Teams, claiming it is the platform we use at SteadyMD for recruiting. It is not. Initial interviews have been conducted via chat on Microsoft Teams, while job acceptance confirmations were conducted by phone. We conduct our interviews by Zoom with cameras on. Why would fraudsters perpetuate such an elaborate ruse? Because once they welcome applicants to the team, they request that the new "employee" purchase an iPhone through them to be used for work purposes, with the promise that they will be reimbursed once they begin their new job. This is clearly not a practice that SteadyMD nor any reputable company would ever engage in. To our knowledge, none of the handful of clinicians who have contacted us about this grift were fooled into purchasing the iPhone but we are continuing to investigate. We urge all job applicants to be vigilant and cautious when it comes to unsolicited job offers or suspicious recruitment practices. If you have any doubts about the legitimacy of a job offer or communication claiming to be from SteadyMD, please reach out to us directly through our official channels. At SteadyMD, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in our hiring practices and interactions with job applicants. We hope that by sharing this information, we can help protect our industry and job seekers from falling victim to these scams.
