Stolfus attended the two-day Colorado Department of Transportation Region 1 Winter Training Conference, joining industry professionals in discussions on collaboration, education, and daily safety decisions that contribute to reducing severe injuries and fatalities on Colorado roadways. With a downward trend in statewide fatalities—from 746 in 2023 to 699 in 2024—these conversations play a crucial role in advancing safety efforts. Key topics included Traffic Incident Management, Project Delivery Plans, Access Management, and strategies to better serve socioeconomic communities through education and resources. We appreciate the opportunity to be part of these important discussions and continue working alongside CDOT and industry partners toward safer roadways. As part of the Community Engagement outreach for the Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Grant for the Town of Minturn, Stolfus met with residents, property and business owners and other members of the Community to learn more about safety concerns, priorities and recommendations to improve safety for all in the Town of Minturn. Angus Nilgitsalanont, Betsy Timbers, and Matt Brown represented Stolfus & Associates at Colorado Department of Transportation Winter Training for Region 3. Stolfus staff members Luke Valerius, Maxwell Rusch, and Tony Bertolini attended the CDOT Region 4 Base Course this week. The event is a yearly opportunity provided by CDOT for training and networking with both internal CDOT team members and consultants. Stolfus attended great sessions including a residency showcase, FHWA Proven Safety Countermeasures, Asphalt Paving Basics, and Rethinking Pedestrian Safety through a Public Health Lens.   Thank You CDOT Region 4 for hosting this important training!
