UPDATE: One of the things I referenced in this edition was that Intesa Sanpaolo was also involved a few months ago in Italy’s CDP Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP)’s €25 million tokenized bond as underwriter and sole investor back in July 2024. Labeled as $CDP25 on STM.Co, the Polygon Labs-minted bond is now redeemed as of 11/18/2024, including repayment and principal using TIPS Hash Link. Great work BlockInvest for providing the technological infrastructure, including the tokenization platform and smart contracts for bond issuance, DVP management, and integration with the TARGET payment system! The final redemption on November 18 was executed seamlessly via BlockInvest, which enabled the following processes: ✅ Marking the bond token as expired upon maturity. 💰 Triggering the payment of principal and interest via TIPS Hash Link, transferring funds through the TARGET system using central bank money. 🔥 Burning the bond token upon confirmation of payment, completing the lifecycle of the tokenized security.
