5,317 miles later and the inaugural Vannonball Run has been successfully completed by Lee Conn & Jason Ruha! (There were some wrong turns and detours in there. 😉) From the most northwestern corner of the lower 48 in Cape Flattery, Washington to the southern most point in Key West, Florida, these guys trekked through the US with only a few rules: shower daily, make and eat delicious food and visit with the loveliest people in the loveliest places. This run was made possible by our fiery red MODE XO, our Storyteller team working behind the scenes and our amazing community who came together throughout the country to support us on this mission to raise $50k for the American Red Cross hurricane relief efforts. Yesterday was a special day on the Vannonball Run! We visited both of the production facilities where these vans are made - the Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC (Charleston, SC) plant where the Sprinters are produced and our own HQ where we bring these MODEs to life! In between these two facilities is the Mercedes-Benz USA Headquarters in Atlanta, so of course we had to stop and see our great friends there who help make all this possible as well. Day 4 of the Vannonball Run took the guys through the Midwest. Lee and Jason joined some friends at the legendary Joe’s Kansas City BBQ, kicked “van goals” at Arrowhead Stadium to #kickitforward and finished the day visiting our team at Global Expedition Vehicles HQ!
