We're excited to share that registration for our annual Insurer Investment Forum is now open! This year's Forum will take place March 4-5, 2025 at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego, CA. This conference is open only to insurers, risk pools, JPAs, captives, and a small number of invited sponsors. This exclusive event is where CEOs, CFOs, CIOs and Board members of insurers of all types participate in illuminating discussions and engaging presentations to cover a range of vital investment issue. Most importantly, you will have an opportunity to share ideas and opinions with your peers and the speakers, as attendance is limited and the opportunity for peer-to-peer discussions are maximized. And, of course, we will award our annual Market Vision Cup to the attendee who does the best job of forecasting both the S&P 500 and the 10-Year US Treasury yield.

All of us at SAA are excited to share that our complete Pooling Peer Group is now fully accessible online to all risk pools and JPAs! As we have the privilege of partnering with a number of Gov't Risk Pools and JPAs, we have developed a complimentary, 'blind' peer analysis across the pooling space to help provide insights and discuss key questions regarding your portfolio relative to other pools. Data will be updated quarterly and as additional peer data is entered/submitted into the database by participants. Our goal is to continue growing the level of data within the peer group.

We're excited to share that the Insurer Investment Forum is returning to the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego, CA from March 4 - 5, 2025!   Each Spring, Strategic Asset Alliance holds its annual Insurer Investment Forum, where CEOs, CFOs and CIOs of insurance companies, captives, and reinsurers of all types come together to discuss key investment issues.   Aside from a small number of sponsors, only insurers, risk pools, and captives are invited to attend. The Investment Seminar for Gov't Risk Pools will take place on the afternoon of March 4.

New England Asset Management, Inc. (NEAM, Inc.) recently conducted research on the P&C and Life industries to assess asset allocation trends from year-end 2023. We conducted a Q&A with them to discuss their findings in both industries. 

The Federal Reserve (Fed) raised interest rates to 5.5% to combat inflation starting in 2022; recent economic data has shown that inflation is beginning to slow, and now the market is expecting a rate cut. We spoke with Income Research + Management to discuss how issuers have navigated this higher interest rate environment amid volatility, and if some issuers have fared better than others based on factors such as their sector and quality. 

With several ongoing and moving pieces in the investment landscape, we spoke with AAM - Insurance Investment Management to get an update on the trends and topics that are most top-of-mind for both insurance companies and risk pools. Topics include expected cuts by the Fed, short-term cash needs for insurers, as well as the factors that go into (potentially) realizing losses. 

With the ever-present risk of banking fraud and phishing scams targeting institutions' assets, we spoke with UMB Bank to explain the types of fraud insurers and risk pools should be aware of, as well as the best ways to safeguard their assets.
