About us
The Institute holds the core intellectual property of Strategic Doing, a discipline that accelerates collaboration. Ed Morrison developed the initial discipline in the 1990s to solve the challenge of developing and implementing complex strategies in open networks. The discipline is now used globally to generate solutions to complex challenges and wicked problems. It also designs and guides high-performance collaborations, open innovation processes, and both entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystems. In 2005, he went to Purdue University to refine the discipline, validate it to scholarly standards, and learn to teach the skills of the practice. The Institute oversees the development of courses, frameworks, and methods using Strategic Doing. In addition, the Institute provides certification of practitioners and designates Fellows to continue teaching, practice, and research. The Strategic Doing Open Community on CONNECTS (our partner in Belgium) lets you join a weekly conversation with practitioners addressing complex challenges with Strategic Doing. Last week, we had the pleasure to launch officially the Brussels Right Questions Network! Not only did we have a workshop focusing on Strategic Doing, but we also had a wonderful networking event, allowing interested parties to speak to members of our core team and get to know our co-COOs, Jane Rogan & Joost Visser, better! Of course, what is a right questions event, without the Right Questions Master himself, Jack Ricchiuto? That's right, our workshops were joined by Jack, who taught participants what distinguishes right from wrong questions and that quantity leads to quality. Participants from different countries, backgrounds, organizations, and ages came together to explore the topic of what we can do together that we can't do on our own or in opposition. We're more than delighted to see how our global movement is developing! We cannot express enough our gratitude! We would also want to thank Paquita Lamacraft, John van der Linden, Karolina Vainilkaitė, Michael Fivet, Paul Slevin, Gaelle Le Gars, Richard Tuffs, and Jean Verschure for attending! Greater agility, better solutions, and huge productivity gains. In our upcoming session on November 22, Ed Morrison will break down not just the HOW of these practices but also the WHY.
