1 thing I learned that changed everything about leadership: Connection drives results. It started early: At boarding school, I learned how diverse perspectives unlock deeper trust. In college, I learned that asking better questions leads to smarter decisions. And in my first job as an HIV/AIDS caseworker, I learned this: 💡 When people feel heard, trust grows. 💡 When you embrace diversity, relationships thrive. Today, I use these principles to help businesses grow. Why? Because the same things that build human connection also fuel brand growth. 👉 Teams thrive on trust. 👉 Customers stay loyal to brands they connect with. 👉 Results follow when relationships are built authentically. So here’s my question: How do you build trust with your team or audience? Drop your best practice in the comments—I’d love to learn from you. ⭕ Hi, I’m Peter Murphy Lewis. I’m a fractional CMO. How many companies fail because they don’t know how to truly connect. I am guessing too many. I help CEOs fix that—and drive real growth. Ready to stand out? Let’s talk.

ditch the GURUS: you already have the answers. yes, you. The consulting world loves to whisper sweet nothings... ...telling you that the secret to success lies in some elusive, expensive advice. But here's the truth: You already have the answers. They're buried within you. 💡 The real challenge isn't finding the advice, it's acting on it. 💡 Think of it like this: Advice is the recipe. Action is the ingredient that turns it into a delicious meal. Ready to cook up some success? Commit to the process: Even if you don't have all the answers, taking that first step is crucial. Create a plan: Break down those big, hairy goals into bite-sized action steps. Find an accountability partner: Someone to cheer you on and keep you on track. 💡 What do you do when your mind goes blank… live on TV? That’s what happened to me one time on CNN Chile. I was live, talking politics, and mid-sentence… I completely blanked. You know that feeling when you walk into a room and forget why you’re there? Now imagine that room has cameras. And thousands of people watching. 😅 Here’s what I did: 1️⃣ Stayed calm. (Okay, maybe I panicked a little inside.) I paused, took a breath, and smiled like I had a brilliant point coming. 2️⃣ Pivoted to what I knew. I jumped to a simpler point I remembered, then worked my way back. 3️⃣ Didn’t dwell on it. Because here’s the secret: Nobody noticed but me. Today, I’ll be live on CNN Chile again for Trump’s inauguration. 🎤 2-3 hours of LIVE TELEVISION! And here’s the thing—I’m more prepared than ever. But I also know this: 💡 Mistakes happen. What matters is how you recover. 💡 Calm beats chaos. When things go sideways, your composure is the real show. 💡 Confidence is contagious. People trust resilience, not perfection. Whether you’re live on TV, in a high-stakes pitch, or leading a business, the lesson is the same: Stay calm. Focus on what you do know. And keep moving forward. As I step back into the spotlight, I’m keeping these lessons close. What about you? How do you handle high-pressure moments when things don’t go as planned? Drop your strategies below—I’d love to hear them! 🤺 I’m Peter Murphy Lewis. After years of live TV, teaching, and leading teams, I’ve learned that calm, clarity, and confidence are the keys to thriving under pressure—whether it’s on camera or in business. Let’s connect and talk about how to bring those principles to your marketing and leadership strategy. #Leadership #CalmUnderPressure #CNNChile #Adaptability

💡 50% of marketing’s goals should be about sales—here’s why it matters: 🚨 208% more revenue. That’s what happens when sales and marketing align. (Source: HubSpot) But here’s the problem: Most companies don’t get this right. 👨💼 If you’re the CEO: Alignment starts with you. If sales and marketing don’t share the same goals, you’re funding campaigns that don’t deliver. 🤝 If you’re the head of sales: Stop making your life harder. Get in the room with the CEO and marketing team. Lay out the objections. Demand the tools you need to win. 📊 If you’re the COO: Do this if you’re tired: Tired of hiring new marketers every year. Tired of campaigns that don’t help sales this quarter. Tired of wasted meetings about strategies that don’t align. 🎨 If you’re the marketer: Sales is your customer. If your work doesn’t make their job easier, you’ll be the first person they replace. Here’s what I see with almost every new client: ----- Three agencies. Three disconnected strategies. And none of it helps sales this quarter. It’s marketing chaos. When you outsource your strategy to agencies, you lose control of alignment. Tactics replace vision. Sales suffers. Marketing must dedicate 50% of their goals to solving sales problems. 🔥 Earn sales’ buy-in. Trust is the price of collaboration. Build it. ❓ Ask the right questions. What objections are killing deals? What tools and content will close them faster? 📊 Bridge the gap. Tie leading metrics (like MQLs) to trailing metrics (like closed deals). This alignment boosts growth by 24%. (Source HS again) ✅ Share the wins. A great case study isn’t just for customers. It fires up your sales team—and proves marketing’s value. Why not make marketing 100% about sales? 🤺 Because marketing is building the future. 🤺 Lowering CAC. 🤺 Attracting better-quality leads. 🍭 Building a brand that makes every future sale easier. Let’s fix this. Drop your thoughts below. Who am I? 🤺 I’m Peter Murphy Lewis, a fractional CMO helping CEOs and sales teams align, grow, and win. Let’s connect and build marketing that drives revenue.

Most documentaries focus on what’s broken. We’re focusing on who shows up every single day. Today, in Ripley, Ohio, we start filming "People Worth Caring About." Not a hit piece. Not a scandal exposé. This is about the people who hold it all together—the caregivers who rarely make the headlines but change lives every single day. The ones who clock in before sunrise. The ones who go home exhausted but fulfilled. The ones who know every name, every routine, every little thing that makes someone feel human again. Mainstream media loves a disaster story. If something goes wrong, the cameras show up. But what about the millions of moments that go right? Who’s telling those stories? If an industry—or even your own peers—fail to show what you actually do, you’ve got two choices: 1️⃣ Let others define the narrative. 2️⃣ Take control of it yourself. We chose the second. This isn’t just about caregiving. It’s about owning your story. Because whether you’re in healthcare, business, or any field where the loudest voices aren’t the ones doing the work, you have to ask yourself: Who’s telling your story? Are you letting headlines define what you do? Or are you putting the truth out there yourself? Because if you don’t, someone else will. And they’ll probably get it wrong. Filming starts today. Drop a comment—how have you had to shift the narrative in your work? 🤺 I am Peter Murphy Lewis. TV host. Documentary filmmaker. Fractional CMO. But more than that—I’m a storyteller. I’ve spent years bringing overlooked stories to life. From hosting shows in South America to producing documentaries that actually matter, my work is about one thing: making sure the right stories get told, the right people get seen, and the truth isn’t left out. At the end of the day, whether it’s on TV, in a boardroom, or on a factory floor, my job is the same: find the story, tell it right, and make it count.

"I didn’t choose Erin. But I can choose my clients. And this client gave me Erin." Yesterday, I was driving from Ripley, Ohio, to Van Wert, Ohio, to film Day 2 of 'People Worth Caring About.' A docuseries dedicated to telling the untold stories of Ohio caregivers. Day 1 was a success—filming at Ohio Valley Manor, capturing 98 years of expertise through the voices of Shari, Michelle, Jackie, and Roberta. Then the call came. COVID outbreak. Filming site shut down. Schedule wrecked. That could have been the end of our day. But it wasn’t. Because my team doesn’t panic—they pivot. While I was driving, Erin Hart, our Ohio coordinator, and Valentina, our director, worked behind the scenes to find a solution. Then Valentina prepared all afternoon, from 1 PM to 11 PM, to rebuild everything. The story. The characters. Their mission. Vale and Erin didn’t complain. They didn’t waste time. They solved it. By morning, we had a full plan— ✅ Film in Cincinnati from 8:30 AM to 4 PM. ✅ Conduct a personal interview about the senior living facility. ✅ Drive three hours to Toledo to start all over again the next day. This is why the right people make all the difference. Where did I learn to pick the right ones? ➡️ My dad. My mom. My mentors. ➡️ Years of trial and error. ➡️ Watching what happens when you choose wrong. Some people chase talent. I chase mission-driven people. Because when you’re nine days into a shoot, sharing breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the same Airbnb… it’s not just about skill. It’s about character. And in this case? I got both. Who’s someone on your team that makes your job easier? Tag them. Give them their flowers. 👇 I am Peter Murphy Lewis. Fractional CMO. TV Host. Filmmaker.

“𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆.” Those words from my dad still hit hard. He wasn’t just being contrarian. He’d seen attorneys chasing endless billable hours—success without soul. He wanted more for me. A life where every move matters. At 18, I was all set for diplomacy. I even earned a Master’s at a top diplomatic school in South America. But soon I asked myself: Do diplomats truly love what they do? The answer was a harsh truth—most were just going through the motions. So I pivoted. I took the leap into entrepreneurship. Here’s the raw truth I learned along the way: 🎯 Stand by Your Core Success isn’t just about climbing a ladder. It’s about aligning your actions with your values. Passion alone won’t cut it—you need relentless grit, fighting for it every single day. ✨ Push Beyond Comfort Joy fuels the journey, but comfort zones breed complacency. Real progress happens when you face discomfort head-on— Turning setbacks into stepping stones. 🚀 Forge Bold Moves Safe bets never built empires. The best careers are built by taking unapologetic risks, Grinding through failures, and challenging the status quo. My dad’s advice wasn’t about dodging a career—it was a call to live fully, To fuel passion with perseverance. What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received? 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼. Drop your story in the comments—I’m listening. ⭕ I’m Peter Murphy Lewis—partnering with CEOs, COOs, and Sales Leaders to shatter outdated marketing tactics. Guess less. Grow faster. 📉 Why do most businesses struggle to grow? They’re relying on surface-level data—and it’s killing their momentum. If you want real insights—the kind that drive meaningful growth—you have to ask better questions. At Strategic Pete, we’ve seen two questions change the game: 💬 “How did you first hear about us?” 👉 Pinpoints your most effective marketing efforts. 🎯 “What was the number one reason you decided to buy?” 👉 Zeroes in on what your customers truly value. When you lean into open-ended questions, here’s what happens: ✨ Strategies align perfectly with what customers actually want. 💼 Retention rates climb, and satisfaction soars. 🚀 Growth becomes intentional and repeatable. Stop relying on assumptions. Start building a business that’s in tune with your customers. ⭕ I’m Peter Murphy Lewis, a fractional CMO who helps leaders turn insights into growth. Let’s connect—I’d love to help you ask the right questions. hashtag#GrowthUnlocked hashtag#CustomerFirst hashtag#StrategicPete

Our career isn’t defined by one path—it’s built by many. At 27, I didn’t think I’d ever run a fractional CMO consultancy. By then, I’d already worn a lot of hats: - Diplomatic training. - Teaching at the University of Chile. - Reporting for CNN South America. Each one taught me something unexpected. - Every role helped me adapt. - Every pivot opened new doors. - Every challenge built resilience. When I launched my travel brand, those lessons were tested. Scaling it to seven figures wasn’t just about business—it was about growth. I learned to: -Pivot when markets changed. - Lead teams with diverse talents. - Build strategies that worked under pressure. Now, as a fractional CMO, I help businesses do the same. Your career isn’t about sticking to one lane. It’s about using every experience to become a stronger leader. What’s one “hat” you’ve worn that shaped how you lead? Let’s swap stories—I’m listening. ⭕ I’m Peter Murphy Lewis from Strategic Pete. I help leaders align teams, build bold strategies, and scale smart. #CareerGrowth #LeadershipUnlocked #StrategicPete
