Big news for Tulsa! Mayor Monroe Nichols, alongside Deputy Mayor Krystal Reyes and leaders from ImpactTulsa has announced the launch of the Mayor’s Office of Children, Youth and Families — a first-of-its-kind initiative dedicated to improving outcomes for children and families in Tulsa. With a goal of placing 15,000 more youth on the path to economic mobility by 2030, this new office will drive change by aligning cross-sector efforts, leveraging data-driven solutions and mobilizing community resources. Expected to be led by ImpactTulsa, a Cradle to Career Network member, this initiative reinforces the city’s commitment to investing in their youth today for a thriving Tulsa tomorrow. "Tulsa’s future depends on how well we invest in our children today," said Ashley Philippsen, executive director of ImpactTulsa. "As the region’s cradle-to-career backbone organization, ImpactTulsa is proud to partner with the city as they launch the Mayor’s Office of Children, Youth and Families [...] This partnership reinforces our city's commitment to ensuring 15,000 more youth are on track for economic mobility by 2030 and sets a model for how cities can transform outcomes at scale.” 🔗 Learn more about the new office initiatives here: https://hubs.li/Q036B8cf0

StriveTogether is a national movement working to ensure every child has every opportunity to succeed.
About us
StriveTogether is a national movement with a clear purpose: help every child succeed in school and in life, cradle to career, regardless of race, ethnicity, zip code or circumstance. Since launching nationally in 2010, StriveTogether has learned a great deal about what it takes for communities to improve outcomes for children at scale. Our nationally recognized approach supports communities in collecting and using local data to illuminate obstacles facing children of color and those living in poverty. Community partners use these findings to make decisions in real time to improve and properly scale practices and target resources to support what works. In short, data gives StriveTogether communities the insight and information to make smarter investments in the success of every child, from cradle to career.. Visit www.strivetogether.org

Incredible week so far in Davos for the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum. Hearing from fellow Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship social entrepreneurs and collective social innovator’s, young global leaders and global shapers has been incredible. Hearing from corporate and tech CEOs, heads of state and most importantly to me — students from an area school — have been thought provoking and inspiring. Not a place I ever imagined I’d be (like in a million years) but grateful for the chance to see how this all works and to talk about the amazing work of StriveTogether Cradle to Career Network members with leaders from around the globe. I heard messages throughout the week from presidents, CEOs and community based organizations that validate our focus on place-based, cradle to career approaches to ensure every child has the power to chart their own future and every community has a resilient economy ready for the challenges of the future. Sharing a few pictures from the week so far #WEF #schwabfoundation #strivetogether #cradletocareer

Another highlight we're celebrating from 2024 is the passing of Maryland's ENOUGH Act, a $20 million investment designed to build new place-based partnerships to address historic inequities in Maryland and tackle the root causes of poverty. StriveTogether president and CEO Jennifer Blatz was able to join Maryland Governor Wes Moore as he signed the ENOUGH Act into law, setting a national example for #CradleToCareer collaboration and #EconomicMobility. Since then, The Training Hub Powered by StriveTogether has been helping support the implementation of the ENOUGH Act. Learn more about this monumental win: https://hubs.li/Q030g_130

As 2024 wraps up, we're celebrating the moments from this year that demonstrate what the #CradleToCareer Network can achieve together! Up first is a look back to January, when StriveTogether represented the Network at the 2024 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting. Jennifer Blatz attended to accept the global Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship Social Innovation Award for Collective Social Innovation on behalf of StriveTogether. The award recognizes how the Cradle to Career Network brings people together to solve complex problems. As a 2024 Social Innovator, we've joined a community of organizations whose collective work has improved the lives of more than 890 million people in over 190 countries since 1998.
