  • Thank you to everyone who joined us last week for our Future of Infrastructure event in Boston! 🚀 Jonson Berman kicked off the event with a thoughtful reflection on the evolving infrastructure landscape, highlighting both the challenges we face and the optimism fueled by emerging technologies. We went "Back to the Future" with a fireside chat led by Jit Kee Chin. Jay Tangney, and Dan Larche revisited their experiences with Boston’s Big Dig and explored how modern technology could have mitigated some of its biggest challenges. We then heard from an impressive lineup of startups – AirWorks, Exodigo, FLUIX AI, Kaya AI, Luminous, Noteworthy AI, Paces, and Sublime Systems – each redefining how we approach infrastructure development through cutting-edge solutions. The event concluded with two insightful panels: one delving into the future of grid management and renewable energy, and the other examining innovations in data center construction. Both sessions ignited discussions on the evolving landscape of energy and digital infrastructure, highlighting the pivotal role of technology in building a more resilient and sustainable future. 🎥 Missed the event? Early Stage Construction Tech | BOOST Program

AI is booming, and data centers are going up at record speed. But none of it happens without incredibly skilled specialty contractors making it a reality. That’s where Trayd: Construction Payroll comes in—ensuring faster, seamless payroll so contractors stay focused on the build, not the back office. Speed matters, and Trayd keeps the momentum going on site. Congrats to the entire Trayd team (led by Anna + Cara) -- You’ve built a crucial piece of infrastructure that powers our industry to put more work in place without back-office delay. Suffolk Technologies is thrilled to be a Trayd partner!

🚨 🗞️ Breaking news: Trayd Meets Rising Demand for Construction Payroll Solutions with $4.5M Seed Round Led by Suffolk Technologies 🗞️🚨 Building a company is an intoxicating thing. As founders, much of our time is spent fighting against constant doubt, resistance, and fear. Then, if we’re lucky, a day comes when our ‘outlandish’ ideas are met with interest, excitement, and a window of opportunity to create something great. A few years ago, I was helping my dad in his construction back office. I was doing all of the very manual and mundane tasks of running payroll, checking worker hours, and filing compliance reports. During this time, I kept saying to myself “there’s got to be a better way.” Turns out, there wasn’t. The $2 trillion US construction industry didn’t have a vertical payroll or back office solution. So I seized that fleeting window of opportunity to create the software that my dad and tens of thousands of trade contractors so desperately needed, and decided to go for it. With Trayd: Construction Payroll, we’ve built the most efficient all-in-one back office platform for construction trade contractors - a software that has payroll and compliance at its core. The push to keep going has been driven by the absolute certainty in the product we’re building and the total respect for the people we are building it for. Trayd is, above all, customer-obsessed. And our clients can feel that. For the first time, there is a software purpose-built for them, one that seamlessly transforms their previous back office operations and opens up more opportunities for business growth.  Today represents one of the more spectacular moments of this journey. I am thrilled to announce our company’s $4.5M seed fundraise from world class investors like Suffolk Technologies, Bloomberg Beta, and Y Combinator.  These investors heard our earliest ideas and fueled them with the necessary capital and support to bring this platform to the construction industry. Trayd is on fire, and this additional capital will only foster more growth. We have an incredible team and have several open roles, which you can find here - www.buildtrayd.com/careers. If you’re interested in building the future of the construction back office with us, don’t hesitate to get in touch. Okay Trayd-ers, let’s keep building.
