👉 From November 18–20, 2024, the SUNRISE Alliance took an important step forward with a dynamic Pre-Kickoff Meeting in Ancona, Italy, hosted by our esteemed partner, Università Politecnica delle Marche. This event brought together expertise, collaboration, and vision, paving the way for the official project launch on January 2025! 👉Key Moments from the Meeting: ✅ Work Package Review: Teams evaluated progress on preparatory tasks and set priorities for the next steps. ✅ Strategic Dialogues: Discussions focused on joint degree programs, student mobility, and robust management and governance frameworks. ✅ Strengthening Collaboration: Energizing conversations helped align our collective vision and boost team momentum. ✅ Innovative Inspiration: A guided tour of state-of-the-art labs at Università Politecnica Delle Marche highlighted the cutting-edge research fueling our ambitions. This milestone event also sets the tone for our Kickoff Meeting in Ilmenau, scheduled for January 14–15, 2025, where we’ll officially launch our transformative initiatives! SUNRISE Alliance - Vision With the SUNRISE Alliance, we aim to do more than support change - we aim to ignite it. We aspire to become a catalyst for innovation in research-based education, reshaping the role of technology transfer to not only address current industry and stakeholder needs but also anticipate future challenges. Our vision goes beyond institutional boundaries: ✔ We strive to reduce inequalities by attracting diverse populations to knowledge and learning. ✔ We aim to build a "network of networks" by uniting with smaller universities and other European University Alliances, amplifying collective impact. ✔ By the end of this journey, we envision the SUNRISE Alliance as a role model of success, delivering profound transformation and fostering a deep sense of community. 🌍 What We Aspire to Achieve Foster collaboration with regional and national stakeholders. Congratulations." 🌅 On this day, the European Commission announced the results of the applications, officially marking the establishment of the European University SUNRISE – Smaller (Strategic) Universities Network for Regional Innovative and Sustainable Evolution.
