You guessed it—sweet potatoes see the biggest Thanksgiving demand spike! 🍠 45% of annual sweet potato sales happen in November. 🍠 Americans consume around 5 billion pounds of sweet potatoes each year, with a large portion enjoyed at Thanksgiving. 🍠 During Thanksgiving, millions of pounds of sweet potatoes are transported across the country to meet the demand (we’ve seen the biggest volume increase from the West Coast!). A huge thank you to our logistics team, partners, and carriers for working hard to get these holiday favorites to your tables. ☀️Today’s Spotlight: Celebrating 5 Years with Danielle Ham at Sunrise Logistics! From planning routes that keep our deliveries on time to baking the best homemade chocolate chip cookies 🍪 (a secret recipe she won’t share 😉), Danielle brings passion and precision to everything she does. As we mark her five-year milestone, we asked her about her experiences. Here’s what she had to say:⤵️ Q: How has your role evolved over the past five years? Danielle: "I started out working at Four Seasons Produce as an operations coordinator and as an operations planner. I am now a logistics route planner at Sunrise. I have certainly built a lot of connections and learned a lot throughout these three roles so far." Q: What has been your most memorable experience working at Four Seasons Produce and The Family of Companies so far? Danielle: "Our team bonding activities the Outbound LTL team does, it is always a great time." Q: What do you find most rewarding about working in the fresh supply chain? Danielle: "Since I work in route planning, I find it rewarding that my job is to help make everything happen. I make sure the deliveries get there on time and arrive on the proper equipment." Q: What advice would you give to someone new to the logistics industry? Danielle: "Do not ever be afraid to ask questions or share a new idea; there is always room for continuous improvement. I appreciate that at Sunrise, we are always looking for more efficient ways to do our processes." Q: How do you like to spend your free time? Danielle: "I enjoy baking, reading, shopping, and spending time with friends and family. "I make the best homemade chocolate chip cookies, and it’s my secret recipe, so don’t ask for it. 😉" 🍪 Q: Who has inspired you the most in your career and personal life? Danielle: "My mother is my greatest inspiration. She gives me the best and most honest advice on everything." Q: What are you most proud of in your career or personal life? Danielle: "I’m most proud of how far I’ve come working for the Four Seasons Family of Companies. Looking back, it’s impressive how much I’ve learned and the relationships I’ve built." Q: Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years? Danielle: "In the next five years, I hope to have learned a variety of tasks and skills and be in a position here at Sunrise to take on higher-level tasks.
