While policy shifts under the incoming administration might create uncertainty, solar energy’s trajectory remains unstoppable. According to a new article from Forbes, the new administration might find itself at a loss when it comes to halting the tremendous momentum of green industries. Solar is already the most cost-effective form of new power generation in the U.S., Texas is leading the way, set to add 36 gigawatts of solar, wind, and battery storage over the next 18 months, far outpacing even California’s 11 gigawatts. With these projects delivering economic growth and job creation across the country, the future of solar remains bright. At SDG, we’re helping businesses harness the power of solar by offering innovative financing and development solutions. From reducing energy costs to increasing sustainability, solar is not just a wise investment—it’s a critical step in building resilient operations and a sustainable energy future.. SDG is here to ensure businesses of all sizes can be part of this transition, creating opportunities and savings powered by the sun. #SolarEnergy #EnergySavings #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #SDGSolar #SDG

Happy Thanksgiving from the Sunrock Distributed Generation team! We are grateful for the partnerships and collaborations that have made this year truly remarkable. At SDG, we understand that financing and installing solar is built on the trust and support of our clients, partners, and team members who share our commitment to a sustainable future. This year has been a record-breaking one for the U.S. solar market, with 9.4 GWdc of solar capacity installed in Q2 2024, marking a 29% increase from last year, the largest addition in history. In fact, solar accounted for an incredible 67% of all new electricity-generating capacity added in the first half of 2024. As we navigate the challenges and opportunities in the renewable energy sector, these milestones remind us of the vital impact of our shared efforts. Regardless of the size or scale of a project, every step we take together brings us closer to a more sustainable and efficient future. We look forward to continuing our journey with you, making impactful strides in the renewable energy landscape. Wishing you all a happy Thanksgiving filled with gratitude and a renewed energy for the challenges and opportunities ahead. #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #SolarEnergy #Sustainability #SunrockDG #SDG

"Under a power purchase agreement with Sunrock Distributed Generation, seven additional Penske Truck Leasing facilities in California are expected to be retrofitted with new PV solar systems in the next year, which are expected to yield roughly 600 KW of renewable energy across all locations. These facilities are located in Fresno, Hayward, La Mirada, National City, Riverside, San Diego and San Leandro. Penske is collaborating with San Francisco-based ForeFront Power as its lead project consultant on this solar initiative." Onwards! Thuy-An Nguyen, Wilson Chang, Ryan Mattocks, James Carter, Alan Robertson
Penske Truck Leasing is powering up a new solar initiative with the help of ForeFront Power's Advisory Services! 🚚⚡️ Penske's state-of-the-art facility in Channahon, Illinois, is now generating 80% of its energy needs with its first ever rooftop #solarenergy system – helping reduce emissions and operational costs. Other Penske facilities in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Linden, New Jersey, as well as seven additional Penske facilities in California, are also planned to be retrofitted with rooftop solar. As Penske’s solar advisory partner, ForeFront Power is thrilled to be helping Penske Truck Leasing enhance #energyefficiency at its facilities nationwide. Evangelicals Tap Power of the Sun - and Government Rebates. Sunrock Distributed Generation "has successfully recruited major investors by packaging the small and medium-sized projects into investment funds that are very attractive on Wall Street. “We’re putting it in a pool so there’s a very diversified risk,” Chang told CT. “At the end of the day, people pay their utility bills.”" We worked with our partner Watthub Renewables to help Palm Valley Church - the church doesn't have to pay anything up front, and solar panels help them hedge against rising energy prices. The future of solar lies in empowering businesses of all sizes to access affordable, clean energy. Keith Martin states, in regards to the incoming Trump administration, “parts of the Inflation Reduction Act could be dismantled as, "pay fors," to offset the cost of extending the 2017 tax cuts. The four IRA provisions that seem at greatest risk are the electric vehicle tax credit, the $80 billion in funding to modernize IRS computers and hire more staff (that was already whittled back to $60 billion in debt ceiling talks,) the US Department of Energy loan guarantee program and the distant phaseout date for renewable energy tax credits.” But here at Sunrock we continue to move forward, business as usual, to ensure offtakers of all sizes can receive Power Purchase Agreement financing for solar and storage. As many of you know, Under the California Public Utilities Commission's Net Metering (NEM) 3.0 policy, solar projects are now paid 75% less for excess energy. As a result, hundreds of EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction firms) have gone out of business, including the former solar giant SunPower. According to the California Solar and Storage Association (CALSSA), “It took California 13 years to build its first million solar roofs, five years to build its second million, and just one year to cut solar installations to a 10-year low.” We offer third-party ownership solutions and help EPCs navigate the evolving energy landscape and continue to thrive. Sunrock understands the challenges that EPCs are facing under NEM 3.0 - and we are here to finance your projects - please reach out to us and submit your projects at the link below. #NEM3 #SolarEnergy #CleanEnergy #Microgrids #RenewableEnergy #EnergyPolicy #SunrockDG #SDG
