About us
Major companies have partnered with the global consulting firm Guidehouse to join the Supplier Leadership on Climate Transition. Supplier LOCT is a collaborative platform to facilitate action toward greenhouse gas emissions reductions. Company members identify and sponsor suppliers who can benefit from mentoring and practical guidance on their carbon reduction efforts. Twenty-four partner companies are now members of the diverse partnership, which provides organizations with a scalable, cost-effective solution to the challenge of addressing supply chain and Scope 3 emissions. This approach empowers brands to incentivize their suppliers to accelerate climate action. It offers a competitive advantage to suppliers by publicly recognizing their efforts and providing them with access to potential new business partners. The platform enhances the working relationship between brands and suppliers and helps brands communicate their action on climate change to attract new customers. Virtual seminars led by Guidehouse sustainability experts provide suppliers with hands-on instruction in greenhouse gas tracking, reporting, target setting, and abatement with the goal of establishing science-based emission reduction targets. Brands.

Supplier Leadership on Climate Transition helps companies set ambitious targets which will progress emission reduction. This peer-reviewed article from The Journal of Cleaner Production finds that Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validation is positively associated with companies' progress on emission reduction targets.
