Healthcare/Healthcare Tech PR & Mktg Strategist, Leader & Storyteller | Becker's 141 Women in Health IT to Know | Forbes Agency Council Contributor

When I founded Amendola Communications 21 years ago, I realized I could attract and retain top talent from across the country without forcing them to relocate to our Scottsdale, Arizona office. What seemed practical at the time now feels visionary, as remote work has become the post-pandemic norm.  Our team loves working from home and appreciates not having to uproot their families to move across country or hop in a car or train to get to the office each day. As many companies push for a return to the office, I remain committed to our fully remote model because it benefits both our team and clients. Remote work allows us to boost productivity without the distractions of a traditional office and maintain high job satisfaction. Our team's ability to collaborate effectively from anywhere, while delivering exceptional client service, proves that success isn’t limited by location. This flexibility is not only central to our culture but also positions us for continued success in today’s evolving work environment. I am so happy that the Supreme Group. which we are now a part of shares our same philosophy and maintains a fully remote workforce around the Globe. When people ask how we make remote work successful, here’s what I tell them: 🖥 Set Clear Expectations: Deadlines drive productivity, and team members must be available during work hours via email, phone, or web meetings to ensure top-notch client service. 📢 Communicate Consistently: While we use phone calls and web conferences, email remains our primary communication tool. Timely responses during regular hours are key. 📅 Share Schedules: Teams publicly share their schedules to ensure availability for client meetings and to block time for focused tasks like writing and editing. 🎇 Hold Company-Wide Meetings: Regular web conferences for updates, best practices, and recognition (including our "kudos" drawing) keep morale high and communication flowing. 👍 Check in Regularly: Formal check-ins every 6 months to cover work progress and feedback, while routine informal check-ins monthly or weekly help maintain connection and support across the team. Whether you're bringing all, some, or none of your team back to the office, I recommend offering a remote work option. Our teams value this perk, and it shows every day in the quality of their work and client service. I #WorkFromHome #WFHLife #PRAgency #HealthcareMarketing #PublicRelations #WorkLifeBalance

Founder and President at Health+Commerce, part of Supreme Group

I am thrilled to share that Health+Commerce has been acquired by Supreme Group! We will continue to operate under the Health+Commerce brand name as a standalone organization, and I will take the role of president reporting to Supreme Group CEO Tom Donnelly. This is an exciting new beginning for our team. Being part of the newly formed Supreme Group platform will help us scale, enable us to offer additional services to our clients, and provide new growth and career opportunities for our team. I’m looking forward to working closely with Tom, Sheldon Zhai, Christine Slocumb and other Supreme Group leaders who share H+C’s entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to building great places to work, with the backing of founder-friendly private equity firm Trinity Hunt Partners. I'm grateful to all of the clients who have trusted us as their partners over the years, whether for a small project or a decade-long engagement. It's a true privilege to work alongside brilliant people using their talents to improve healthcare and patients' lives. I'm also deeply grateful to my incredible team – especially Krysta Pellegrino and Gina Lim, who took a leap of faith to join us in the very early days of the agency; and Nicole Beckstrand, Rachel Stein, and Karrie Hawbaker, who have helped lead the agency through these last few years of growth. I’m grateful for ALL of our team, current as well as former, who have helped serve our clients and shape H+C over the years – too many to list. A big thank you to Pierre-Georges Roy and Michael Tuller from Bryan, Garnier & Co as well as Louis Rappaport and the team at Blank Rome LLP for helping us achieve this milestone.  Finally, I’m beyond grateful to John Osmer. When I asked him over seven years ago to help me build an agency, he agreed without hesitation. I could not ask for a better person in my corner at work or in life.
