With over 30 years of professional riding experience, Kevin is also a qualified 'e-tutor' with an NVQ in delivering training via distance learning. Survival Skills Rider Training is dedicated to improving motorcycle rider skills in the UK, specialising in post-test, advanced & online training suitable for riders of all ages and abilities.Since 1996, we've trained well over one thousand motorcyclists at all standards from newly qualified to police licence holders. Description ---------------- Survival Skills provides a wide range of practical motorcycle training courses from convenient locations in England, Wales and Northern France, as well as distance learning options and free rider resources. Our courses bridge the gap from the basic riding skills taught to pass the UK riding test and train riders to a standard equal to or exceeding that required to pass UK advanced riding tests. Our training differs from Roadcraft-based 'defensive riding' including elements of rider psychology to enhance understanding of risk assessment and risk management techniques, allowing us to ride well and still enjoy motorcycling. Survival Skills Rider Training has worked with on rider safety initiatives with Buckinghamshire County Council, Somerset Road Safety Partnership and currently delivers a module of the award-winning Kent Fire & Rescue Service project called 'Biker Down'. We were commissioned by ACEM (the association of European motorcycle manufacturers) to research and storyboard the 'Lucky 13' series of cartoons, highlighting some important infrastructure safety issues for motorcyclists.
