About us

SUSTAIN Eurocluster is a EU consortium formed by 5 partners aimed to boost the market of building construction, by engaging SMEs in both innovation and the digital transformation undergoing in the sector. The objectives of the project are: 1. Boost the market of building construction by developing a wide network of related clusters and SMEs in order to minimize the effect of the Covid-19 crisis 2. Address the strategic dependencies, both technological and industrial in the field of building construction sector and enhance the EU’s open strategic autonomy, by promoting innovative services and training SMEs to adopt these services 3. Focus on the green and digital transition for companies related in the market of building sector, by promoting innovative solutions related to buildings, energy efficiency and smartness This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement Number 101074311.

The 1st Open Call of SUSTAIN Eurocluster empowered 12 innovative projects, each leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR), and Building Information Modelling (BIM) to drive digital transformation in the construction sector. 🏗️ 🚧 The construction industry is responsible for nearly 40% of Europe’s total energy consumption and around 36% of its CO₂ emissions.   • 🍃 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 Approximately 75% of the EU's existing #building stock is considered energy-inefficient, contributing to 40% of primary #energyconsumption and 36% of CO2 emissions. At the same time, the construction sector is undergoing rapid changes, with digital transformation playing a pivotal role in addressing the pressing challenges and opportunities within the industry.👇 In this context, and as part of the SUSTAIN Eurocluster initiative, the Green Tech Cluster Latvia hosted a dynamic #networking event in collaboration with EDIH Oceanopolis.
