Great collaboration from members brought our final online meeting of the year to life! 🎉 Club President Kavita, *As they say: "On your own you can go first ;together we can go much further." Lets review the highlights of our Meeting 16th December 2024 - Marc: Multitasking maestro! Taking on dual roles as Sargent at Arms (aka Zoom Master) & Table Topics Evaluator (Impromptu Feedback) with ease 😍 - Colette: Fantastic Greeter with a thought-provoking question based on the meeting theme: "Invest in your favourite charity—it's a time for giving!" Loved the positive energy this sparked 💕 - Catherine as Table Topics Master: Fabulous creative Impromptu Questions posed to attendees. They mixed humour and depth by brilliantly exploring ESG (Environment, Social & Governance) through a "Santa Claus lens! 🎅 - Dennis: Impeccable work on Timekeeping —Thank you for keeping us on track! *Special Shout-Out to Our Speakers:* - Farnaz: "Time to Act is Now" —change by design or disaster". A compelling Icebreaker! - *Kara: "Is All Carbon the Same" -Eye-opening insights into carbon impact and the urgent need for improving infrastructure to get people to transition from their cars onto trains —more investment ! More carbon ! - Kaj: Is the Climate Crisis Driven by Trends" -A powerful message! A reminder of 'Malthusian' theory and our 6th wave of innovation (AI and clean tech)—another inspiring speech. Agree 👍🏼 Let’s stay optimistic! Our Evaluators: (Feedback to Speakers) - Chris, Phillipa & Kabir: Each delivered thoughtful, supportive feedback for our speakers Ron :-Thank for the General Evaluation 🙏🏼 There were plenty of smiles as we supported and encouraged each other on our journey....effective, confident sustainability communication.

At a meeting that was described as 'outstanding' by the Clubs President, let us share some reflections on some of the contributions. Zoom-Master Kaj Sennelöv role was carried out seamlessly, with tremendous professionalism. 💻 As Mcee, Ron's skills shone with insightful nuggets about Toastmaster roles & meeting segments. 👏 While juggling two projects simultaneously, one of which is educational, Table Topics Master @ShirleyAtyspro led an inclusive impromptu session on the topic of #energy, all while skillfully crocheting. 🤹♀️ This #offthecuff section, assessed by one of our new members, Masheka, was mastered with confidence and encouragement. 🧐 The General Evaluator described Nadia's Timekeeper role as impeccable, WOW as this was her first time to carry it out & she had a fantastic line encouraging speakers to #GoForGold. ⏰ With Lauren as the #natural Grammarian we witnessed a 'spot on' report that at one point defined the winning phrase '...getting the weeds of Marcs speech' . (#thepun) 👏 Shout out to our three speakers, Dain, Marc and Ahmed. 🎤 We look forward to hearing more!
