Each day, we're seeing regular folks focusing on the work of learning to dialogue across difference. This Thursday we're seeing that work from old rival military college football fans. SD alums in the DC area who love sports may want to check out this event!

SUSTAINED DIALOGUE INSTITUTE works with YMCA branches and Boys and Girls Clubs in the U.S., and in Sweden, Fryshuset, a similar resource for youth, is the site of SD!
Spreading the art of #dialogue Last week, Life & Peace Institute's Sweden Programme held a three-day #SustainedDialogue moderator training in #Stockholm together with our partner Fryshuset. Eleven Fryshuset staff received an immersive training experience, laying the foundation for becoming Sustained Dialogue moderators. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Fryshuset and encouraging the use of dialogue in Sweden and beyond.

We’re excited to begin this community of practice tomorrow with CoGenerate !
When we opened applications for a five-week community of practice to unite innovators interested in cogenerational strategies for reducing social isolation and loneliness, we weren’t prepared for the huge response. We heard from hundreds of innovators who are deeply concerned about the problem and working to find solutions. No surprise, they don’t want to do this work alone. Tomorrow, representatives of 167 organizations will join the CoGenerate Innovators’ Community of Practice to learn from experts and one another. They are from 8 countries, 30 states, plus Puerto Rico and Washington, DC. Together, they serve more than 230,000 people. Check out the list of organizations taking part in the community of practice. We hope you’re as blown away as us! https://lnkd.in/e_b55XAG

Thrilled to see Elena Martínez Torres and Sindy L. F.'s bylines today in NASPA - Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education's Leadership Exchange's most recent issue, "Democracy on Campus: Strategies to Cultivate Active and Engaged Citizens" See what they learned as students reported their biggest barriers to civic engagement. "The students were divided into three groups and engaged in three one-hour dialogue sessions. Using methods such as structured interviews and focus groups and applying two compatible content analysis approaches, researchers captured the multilayered interplay between student engagement, in-group polarization, and the health of democratic ideals within the campus communities."
