We are excited to pioneer a novel dual-Action checkpoint inhibitor produced in #plants for the treatment of #osteosarcoma 😍🌱 At SwiftPharma, we’re always looking to push the boundaries of #biotherapeutics, and our latest breakthrough has us buzzing with excitement. Our scientific team, is developing a game-changing #VHH checkpoint inhibitor with a dual mode of action targeting both PD-L1 and MDM2/4. 😮👩🏼🔬 This innovative molecule, produced using our proprietary #HyperXpress technology in Nicotiana benthamiana #plant #bioreactors, represents a bold step forward in immuno-oncology. 💪👀🌱 Our first target? #osteosarcoma, a devastating #cancer with limited treatment options. By simultaneously inhibiting PD-L1 to unleash the immune system and modulating MDM2/4 to restore p53 tumor suppressor activity, this therapy may deliver a one-two punch against tumors. 🥊🥊 We believe this approach could one day redefine how we tackle cancers resistant to conventional checkpoint inhibitors. Why does this matter? #osteosarcoma is one of the hardest cancers to treat, and patients deserve more options. Our #plantbased #VHH #technology offers the precision of #nanobodies with the added benefit of being incredibly cost-effective to produce in #plants, enabling broader access to life-saving treatments. 🤗🌱🙌 We’re thrilled to announce that preclinical studies kick off in early Q2 of 2025, marking a pivotal step in bringing this therapy closer to the patients who need it most. 📈💊 And credit where it’s due: our scientific dream team—who lovingly call themselves “The VHHive” 😁—have been working tirelessly, blending cutting-edge research with plenty of bad plant puns to keep morale high. Jeroen Hofenk, Virgil Schijns, Anupama Anupama, Abrar Senhaji, Dimi Boeckaerts, Cindy Callens, PhD Stay tuned as SwiftPharma continues to pave the way for the next generation of #biotherapeutics, proving that innovation grows best when it’s rooted in plants! 🌱 #biotherapeutics #cancertherapy #biomanufacturing #immunology #plantbased #sustainable #teamwork #cancertreatment #oncology

It's official! 😍 SwiftPharma is proud to announce it has obtained a grant of €321.172 from VLAIO as part of a €1.1 million #Eurostars grant “A sustainable first-in-class multitargeted immunotherapy for the treatment of prostate cancer”- HBC.2024.0303. 👀 Together with CimCure B.V. and Amsterdam UMC, SwiftPharma will be developing a game-changing cancer vaccine which directly targets and destroys the tumour’s network of blood vessels so that the cancer stops growing and eventually disappears. Through CimCure B.V.'s proprietary Immune-Boost (#iBoost) technology, a foreign protein is fused to a protein found on the blood vessels going to the tumour, which, when injected into a patient, leads the body to produce antibodies which attack and destroy the tumour’s blood vessels. This unique process has been shown to effectively treat cancer and it does not create resistance to the therapy. Using SwiftPharma's #HyperXpress transient expression technology, CimCure B.V. and Amsterdam UMC will have access to sustainable #bioproduction in #plants, offering #speed, #scalability, and #economic development which are key in combating rising drug prices. 🌱 We would like would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Patricia Menten and the team at VLAIO for their unwavering support and guidance in our journey of innovation. This milestone is not just a win for our team but a step closer to delivering #groundbreaking solutions in #prostate #cancer #therapy. Your belief in our mission inspires us to push boundaries and make sustainable, impactful #biotherapeutics a reality. With this project, we are pioneering a path towards sustainable and accessible therapy for all cancer patients. 🚀🌱 Arjan W.
