Wow, what a day! I had the incredible opportunity to present on the outstanding work our team has done for the UniSQ Let's Go Online Orientation Platform at the 2024 UniSQ Learning and Teaching Showcase – and to top it off, we won a 2024 University Learning and Teaching Award! Leading the team to develop the UniSQ Let's Go Online Orientation Platform has been an absolute privilege. This platform is UniSQ's response to the Digital First Approach, offering students access to orientation content 24/7, enabling them to engage at their own pace and time before starting their studies. This project has been a massive undertaking with so many moving parts, and it’s thanks to the efforts of many that we’ve been able to create something that equips students with the right tools for success. I’d like to thank all the stakeholders who contributed to making this a major success. A few special mentions: - Tahnya Bella and Stephen Seymour: Your unwavering support has been invaluable. Tahnya, a particular thank you for your instrumental role in getting the project up and running during those critical first 3 months of planning—something we didn’t think was possible... but you made it happen! - Chelsea Koelmeyer: Thank you for your support every step of the way. Your advice, friendship, and behind-the-scenes work were essential. You truly played a huge role in making this a success! - Samara Hoffmann: The transformation you brought to the look and feel of the platform was outstanding. You're a real talent, and I loved working with you on this. It was amazing to see so many people recognise your hard work at the L&T Showcase! - Jake Lodder: Though you’re not officially part of UniSQ, your dedication, hard work, and videography expertise have been invaluable. You truly feel like a part of the team, and this recognition is just as much yours as it is ours. - The Symplicity Team: Your help during the critical 3 month milestone and continued support has been essential. - Andrew Johnson: Thank you for your nomination and for your unwavering support throughout this project. You helped us sell the vision, and we’re incredibly grateful. - The Leadership Team (Alison Jaquet and Megan Pozzi): Your ongoing support was pivotal. Without it, this project wouldn’t have come to life. And of course, a huge thank you to our students—this platform exists because of you and thanks to your invaluable feedback, has been a huge success. I’m so excited to see how it continues to evolve and support you as you begin your journey at UniSQ. Here’s to more success in 2025! Congratulations Elizabeth Cavalli as project lead, Chelsea Koelmeyer Tahnya Bella and Samara Hoffmann 👏 Thanks also to Andrew Johnson and Megan Pozzi for guiding the team and Lorelle Burton for ongoing support for our work 🙏 And always grateful to Ella Kahu and Karen Nelson PhD PFHEA for the underpinning framework of student engagement at the educational interface that guides our approach 👩🏼🎓
