Hi folks, we're hiring a talented full stack engineer to join our team, in-person in New York City. A few quick facts about why this opportunity is different: - We've scaled to 7 figures of revenue within 1 year of launch - We're entirely bootstrapped and have raised no money - We've spent zero dollars on marketing, but demand is so high we currently have to say no to many new deals - We have a very clear path to growth Our company culture is: - High Agency. We're all doers, and blame isn't a thing. - Customer Obsessed. We build the absolute best product we can, and talk with many of our customers on a near-daily basis. - Technical. Every single team member at Syncopate ships code, and I can't imagine that changing for a long time. We're hiring incredible engineers to join our team. Ever wondered what a map of musical artists based on their audience similarity might look like? No? Makes sense, it’s kind of a weird thought. But here it is anyway. Looks pretty…but what does it mean? A dot represents a specific artist. You see all those clusters? Those are artists that have similar audiences. The same color means the same genre. Predictably, genres tend to cluster together. For instance, the “Christian” music genre is tightly grouped together, away from most other music. However, perhaps intuitively, “Country” is the closest neighbor. (You can see those two examples as the pink and purple in the top right corner.) This type of map can serve as a great way to find and discover new artists that you might enjoy. Curious how I did it? It involves some advanced machine learning techniques, and some very fancy map generation technology thanks to our friends at Nomic AI (cc Andriy Mulyar) But it’s the kind of thing we do at Syncopate to deliver cutting-edge insights for A&R and catalog analytics. DM me for access to the underlying map to see more details!
