Connecting the community through shared experience. SZN ONE isn't about the team dictating to the community how Football should be. In fact, it is quite the opposite. We believe strongly in the power of our community members and their journeys. There is so much to learn from those who are navigating their way through individual experiences in different parts of the game. What better way to create connection and collaboration than to help share those stories, giving community members a platform to grow, share and have their own impact on the sport. Full member journeys will be exclusively housed in our community platform, with the ability to connect and build relationships available to all who are a part of it. We are close to launching and for our first 100 waitlist sign ups, free access awaits! Head to www.sznone.info to get your place before our paid tiers begin! What is regen and who are our regenerates? As we continue to work towards our wider community launch, here's a little about regen and our community of regenerates and our journey to creating a strong and impactful future for football. Regen is the vessel for tomorrow’s football leaders, that prepare and empower them for the sport they love, and world they navigate. It is a place that connects our young people within the sport with each other and the industry through an eternal learning experience. You, Football, Technology and the future is our red thread and path for change. Our ‘Regenerates’ explore the future of Football together, they own a piece of this place and in it, they can create a vision for impact, sustainability and democratisation. It is a place where self-discovery breeds shared ideas, a sense of belonging nurtures strong bonds and curiosity for the future creates a vision for the game where we all thrive – all ways. They develop through learning, listening, talking and doing. Contributing and collaborating. Together, we play forward. Challenges to creating the future of football for our young people. Finding your feet in any industry is tough, with multiple barriers blocking the path to flourishing both individually and in a team. 🔹 Access & Opportunity – Breaking into football is tough. Many struggle to find that first step, whether as a player, coach, marketer, or innovator. 🔹 Time & Balance – Juggling studies, jobs, and football commitments is a constant battle. How do you go all-in when life demands so much? 🔹 Funding & Sustainability – From grassroots to professional pathways, financial constraints block potential. How do we create sustainable careers? 🔹 Networks & Collaboration – The football world can feel closed off. Meeting the right people and finding like-minded individuals to build with is a challenge. 🔹 Innovation & Future Growth – The industry is evolving, but how do we keep up with the rapid changes in technology, sustainability, and culture? We believe that the first step to breaking some of these barriers lies in bringing people together to ideate, reflect, engage their curiosity and connect with those at different stages of their footballing path. Building a strong community who believe in collaboration for a football that flourishes in all aspects is at the core of our purpose. It’s no secret that for many of our young people, football is more than just a sport—it’s a place where aspirations, impact, and personal growth come together. However, turning that passion into a meaningful career comes with its fair share of hurdles. We have been getting a tranche of feedback from across the sport to see what these challenges are. Funding rises to the top of everyone’s challenge list. From start-up nonprofits to grassroots coaches, the pursuit of financial support is often an uphill climb. Pair that with the pressing call to use football as a catalyst for social good—whether that’s cutting carbon footprints or empowering disadvantaged groups in sport—and you quickly realise football isn’t just what you see on the TV. We also know that working in football can often be a daily juggling act for young people. Especially in their early careers: individuals trying to balance multiple training sessions while simultaneously securing advanced credentials in sports management, or singlehandedly running a foundation aimed at community development. Meanwhile, some feel stymied by industry gatekeepers, left to figure out how to “open doors” that otherwise seem locked to newcomers. We understand that some deeper social challenges can contribute here: financial inequalities, limited access to networks, and shifting cultural values around the role of sport. At szn one, we know how vital young people are to the future of the game we all love. They will create the new innovations, democratise different aspects of the sport, and be the true pioneers of inclusivity and impact. This is why we are building the szn one regen community. When people come together under a shared vision, collective creativity and resource-sharing can spark real change. We’re bridging knowledge gaps, connecting people across borders, and tapping into collective energy to ensure the next generation doesn’t just dream of a better football—they actively build it. When it comes to creating success within our footballing organisations and clubs, there are some fundamentals that must be implemented across teams and hierarchy. Trust and psychological safety. Employees need to feel heard, listened to and given the environment to flourish in every aspect of their roles. Ignoring these two principles can be catastrophic to business success. Here is what culture designer for some of the worlds largest companies Dan Strode has to say about it when he joined szn one professor Dr. Jacob Naish and co-founder Matt Warner for a chat.
