Do I need to wrap my furniture, before moving it? Ask yourself what's more important: saving money, or protecting your furniture aesthetically (from scratches, dents, gouges, etc.)? What's the value of your furniture - monetarily, sentimentally, etc.? If having your movers spend almost double the time per item wrapping does not sound ideal (when most moves are charged on an hourly clock), then maybe you need a company who does not utilize Pad-Wrapping. If having your furniture dented, scratched, or torn is scary - then maybe you need a company who properly wraps with moving pads. No Wrap is no guarantee that damage will occur, but small imperfections are likely to arise on most moves without any protection. Make sure that your company is willing to properly organize your move, to suit your goals --- whether you would like Full-Wrapping of Furniture, No-Wrapping, or even Partial-Wrapping (wrapping only select pieces, at the customer's request - blending time savings and priority damage-protection). What should I avoid in a Storage Unit? It boils down to a few simple risks. 1. A change in price, after the agreed rate for the first month. Avoiding variable rates helps not only to save you money on increasing rates - but also to avoid you having to spend time and/or money moving your items to a new unit. 2. Pestilence (Mice, Bugs, Etc.) Make sure your unit has expectations for clients not to bring food (including spices)! And that they have pest control in case people still do. 3. Indoor Entry Units, far from the Point-of-Entrance. Indoor Storage units can be great for climate control (as opposed to outdoor-entry units), but if they are too long of a walk from the entrance, or are on a separate level, they can create exorbitantly longer times to pack and un-pack your unit. This can be expensive, if using a moving company. 4. Hours of Service that do not suit your schedule (for units with gates). Some storage units will not let you in between specific times. Make sure your unit fits your unique schedule! Good luck! - Sean https://lnkd.in/eNS9Wuvh Sean@T7moving.com (484) 300-0203

What do Movers mean by Furniture Wrapping? Furniture Wrapping can differ between Movers, and there is not one right way to wrap for every customer's preference / for every piece of furniture (protection vs. time/cost). The attached video shows how to wrap a piece as if damage-protection is the only priority. - Sean T7moving.com (484) 300-0203

My Long-Distance Move is Over-Priced! Most Long Distance moves will be, but there are ways you can save HUGELY. Here are a few ways to save money on your upcoming Long-Distance Move: 1. Hire Labor to Load/Unload your Own rental moving truck (from Penske Truck Rental, for example). This will save tons of labor expense during travel. 2. Hire Labor to Load/Unload a pod(s), after procuring one from a pod transportation company (such as "PODS," "UNIT," etc.). This option also provides flexibility in terms of storage between closing dates (but is usually more expensive, and less reliable date-wise). 3. If you want to go the traditional route of having a company come with a truck, but still want to save - consider calling a Van-Line, rather than a moving company. Van-Lines work with multiple moving companies, and can combine your shipment with others (and have shipments ready for the way back), to save you loads on travel expense! 4. If the options above are still too expensive, it can't hurt to only take what is needed, and get rid of the rest. Long-Distance Moves will never be cheap, but there are ways to save some money where possible! - Sean T7 Moving (484) 300-0203 www.T7moving.com

T7 Moving is undergoing a change in its operations. We are now offering options for moves on a lower budget. It is comprised of less time spent wrapping, and a removal of our damage guarantee (we still perform moves with full-wrapping and the $5k damage-guarantee, for those interested). Previously, we have been rigid in wrapping every item, to guarantee a damage-free move --- but some moves have a budget, and that budget is sometimes more important than the level of damage-protection provided. Wrapping takes time, and we are adjusting to make sure that honest service can be provided to those seeking less time spent wrapping (which is VERY time consuming) --- those with less concern for damage and more concern for price. Hopefully we can be of more help to a greater audience --- regardless of whether you're looking to save money, or if you're interests align more with protecting your property's condition. Either way, you'll receive the same professional crew as could always be expected - just with an objective more aligned to your unique wishes! Thank you! - Sean

How do I know if my movers are insured? It's actually easy! Ask your movers for their licensing information. Movers have to have active insurance, in order to get and be licensed. Ask for their PA PUC #, when moving within PA, Or their US DOT #, when moving out of state. If they have active license numbers, then they must be insured for auto and cargo at the least. Lookup their license numbers at these URLs for confirmation! PA PUC: https://lnkd.in/erKaj7Wq US DOT: https://lnkd.in/dSDgzuS As for other important policies, like General Liability, and perhaps more importantly Worker's Compensation, ask for your company's C.O.I.. If they've went far enough to get licensed, they probably wouldn't commit fraud on a C.O.I., however there should be companies listed to call, if you'd like to double check! - Sean@T7moving.com T7moving.com (484) 300-0203
