Flexible packaging, or the process of forming polybags, combines high-speed heat seal impacts with high temperatures. Through continual operation at high temperatures, high-speed polyfilm conversion machines rapidly breakdown inferior nonstick PTFE tape, fabric, and belting materials used to produce clean heat seals. The result - shut down of these machines for tape or fabric ‘changeover’ leading to lower productivity and an overall reduction in total bags made.
