Threat actors have previously tried to use DDoS attacks to undermine confidence in US and foreign elections, but these low-level attacks would not be able to prevent voters from voting or compromise the integrity of voting systems. Instead, the impact of such attacks would be limited to the potential disruption of some election-related functions available online, like voter look-up tools or unofficial election night reporting, highlighting the importance for voters to seek out information about how to vote and polling place information prior to Election Day.
