The T. A. Loving Building Group had the honor of delivering toys to the Maynard Children's Hospital at ECU Health as part of our annual toy drive. 🎁 This tradition began in 2011, when workers noticed children watching from their hospital windows during the hospital’s construction. Inspired to make a difference, the team started a toy drive to bring joy to these kids, and it has since become an annual event supported by our company and subcontractors. This year, we also had some special help unloading from Sam, a lab with the Maynard Canine Crew who offers support to children seeking treatment at the hospital. Along with the toys, we were proud to donate $5,000 to help support the incredible work the hospital does. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make this happen!

One of our Conveyance Systems crews worked through the night along Old Wrightsboro Road to minimize business disruptions and reduce public exposure. Switching to night operations allowed us to prioritize safety while constructing a 24” force main and installing a 12” water line. We’re proud of our team’s commitment to meeting the community’s needs safely and efficiently. #CoveyanceSystems #NightWork #ForceMain #LovingLife

On Thursday, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Center for Medical Education at The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University took place, marking a significant milestone for the future of healthcare education in Eastern North Carolina. “ECU and Brody are the primary source of physicians in Eastern North Carolina,” said Jason Higginson, Executive Dean of the Brody School of Medicine. “We know that we educate the physician workforce out here. So having the ability to educate more physicians will lead to better health outcomes here in Eastern North Carolina.” This new facility will help train more doctors who are likely to stay and serve the local communities, ultimately improving healthcare outcomes across the region. The new center, spanning 195,000 SF, will include flexible learning spaces, a new gross anatomy lab, simulation programs, and collaborative areas for students. Construction is set to begin in March 2025, with completion anticipated in August 2027. T. A. Loving is proud to work with Barnhill Contracting Company and Metcon, Inc. to build this essential hub for medical education in Eastern North Carolina, designed by BSA LifeStructures and SmithGroup. Our team has made great progress towards designing a specialized shoring system that allows safe entry for excavation at the Mega Site Pump Station in Randolph County. While this site had encountered rocky soil conditions, our team has been making great progress, leading to a safe site with better conditions. #Sustainability #Safety #LovingLife

Last night, our Raleigh team prepared a meal for the families at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Triangle. The menu included hamburgers, hotdogs, baked beans, salad, cookies, and sweet potato mash made with sweet potatoes grown on a family farm by one of our employees. We’re proud to support this organization and the families it serves. #LovingLife #RonaldMcDonaldHouse #CommunityFirst
