We are incredibly proud of Texas A&M School of Public Health students that recently led two health fairs for Rio Grande Valley colonias as part of their Project Management in Public Health course. Dr. Krystal Flores, DrPH, MPH ACUE teaches the junior-level course, which incorporates service and community-based learning. Students collaborated with local organizations and provided health information to numerous community members.

Our Agricultural Economics department from the Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences recently organized a trip for McAllen Aggies to visit the Port of Harlingen. The Port handles about 3 million tons of cargo annually, including commodities such as cotton, corn, sorghum, and diesel/gasoline, generating approximately $1.79 billion. Students even got a deep dive into its business model, trade volume, infrastructure, operation, and logistics. Whoop!
